Songpa food truck café for Jamsil baseball snacks: Bingdongdaeng

In short

Bingdongdaeng is a snack-food and bingsu café in the food truck zone at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Songpa, Seoul. Before watching the game, I tried Mexican chipotle fries from Pretty Fox Hot Dog and cream shrimp Station Nachos, then saved Bingdongdaeng for my next visit. Verdict: the food truck zone near Sports Complex Station Exit 5 makes choosing stadium snacks easy.

Visiting the Jamsil Baseball Stadium food trucks

Just yesterday, I went to watch a baseball game live at Jamsil Baseball Stadium with my friends?! Cheering for the game is part of the fun, but honestly, isn't eating another huge part of the baseball-stadium experience...? Hahaha. As a well-known food champ from Meoksan (= Doosan), I just couldn't walk past all the food even at the ballpark ^_^

For anyone wondering what to eat before going in, I'll give you an honest introduction focused on the items I tried myself! ⚾️❣️

Jamsil Baseball Stadium food truck recommendations

Pretty Fox Hot Dog food truck

Pretty Fox Hot Dog

The first place I visited was Pretty Fox Hot Dog.

Pretty Fox Hot Dog at Jamsil Baseball Stadium

I heard it's a popular spot in Gyeongju where people line up to eat, and it has a Jamsil Baseball Stadium food truck too?! Being able to get it to go right at the stadium and eat while watching baseball—I couldn't possibly pass that up, haha.

Pretty Fox Hot Dog takeout items

As expected for a popular food truck at Jamsil Baseball Stadium, there were quite a few people.

Bag of takeout fries

We ordered fries and took them into the stadium. The sauce could have spilled, but they secured everything neatly with a sticker and packed it in a bag, so it was easy to carry inside.

Mexican chipotle fries

We ordered the Mexican chipotle fries. What an absolutely tempting look..🤤🧡

Fries topped with bacon

At first I thought, “Aren't fries a little expensive?” But when I got them, they were piled high like a mountain and loaded with bacon, so I was fully convinced! Hahaha.

Fries with sauce and toppings

The fries were crisp on the outside and moist inside, with that perfect crispy-outside, tender-inside texture. There was plenty of sauce too, so they stayed delicious to the last bite.

Fries are always a safe choice at a baseball stadium. These had generous sauce and toppings, so they were much more satisfying than plain fries, haha. If you're looking for an easy bite from the Jamsil Baseball Stadium food trucks, I recommend Pretty Fox Hot Dog's Mexican chipotle fries!

Station food truck

Station Nachos with cream shrimp

Next up was Station. It had just two simple menu items.

Station menu information
  • Gonsami (konjac pork belly bibim noodles): ₩20,000 — pork belly + cubed chicken breast + spicy mixed konjac noodles
  • Station Nachos: ₩15,000 — fried shrimp or fried pork, with cream sauce or salsa
Station Nachos with cream shrimp

We chose Station Nachos with cream shrimp.

Plump fried shrimp nachos

When it arrived, the shrimp were much plumper than I expected~!

Fried shrimp with cream sauce

There was also a generous layer of cream sauce on top, so it passed the visual test with flying colors, haha.

Crispy fried shrimp dish

One bite in, the coating was crispy from the frying, while the shrimp inside had a wonderfully springy texture.

Nachos and cream shrimp combination

There were nachos underneath too, so it was a two-for-one kind of menu where you could enjoy fried shrimp and nachos together. The cream sauce was generous enough for dipping the nachos, and it was easy to pick at while watching the game, so it was a good Jamsil Baseball Stadium snack~!

Bingdongdaeng food truck

Bingdongdaeng (빙동댕)

Next was Bingdongdaeng, right next to Station.

Bingdongdaeng Korean snack foods and bingsu menu

Bingdongdaeng sold a wide range of items, from bunsik (Korean casual snack foods) to bingsu (shaved ice dessert). We had already ordered chicken, yukhoe sushi, fries, and nachos—this and that—so sadly we couldn't try it this time ㅠㅠ

But a friend who came with me had eaten here at Jamsil Baseball Stadium before and said it was tasty too?! There are so many menu options, so when I come to watch a game next time, I definitely want to try Bingdongdaeng as well. Why is the baseball-stadium snack list never-ending? 🐷...hahahaha

A look around the food truck zone for game-day snacks

Watching the game live is fun, but isn't a baseball stadium only complete once you're enjoying delicious snacks too? Hahaha.

The heat is gradually easing and the weather has been getting pleasantly cool lately, so I think it would be lovely to watch baseball with friends, family, or your partner, blow off some stress, and enjoy some tasty food-truck dishes too~ If you're planning to watch a game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium, be sure to look around the food truck zone near Sports Complex Station Exit 5! ⚾💕
