I went on a Busan trip after a while, and today I want to introduce a milmyeon (wheat noodle) and pork soup place I ate really well at 👏🏻👏🏻 Milmyeon and dwaeji gukbap (pork soup) are Busan's signature foods, so you really should enjoy them properly when you visit — and this place left me very satisfied 👍🏻

Almost every table full at Yeongdong even at an early lunch
Since Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is a newly opened location, the interior had a clean, stylish wood-tone feel. Even though I visited at a fairly early lunch time, almost every table was full! It definitely felt like I'd found a real local favorite haha

Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap menu and prices
- Mul milmyeon (small ₩8,000 / large ₩9,000)
- Bibim milmyeon (small ₩8,000 / large ₩9,000)
- Dwaeji gukbap ₩10,000
- Sundae gukbap ₩10,000
- Suyuk baekban ₩13,000
- Suyuk (small ₩29,000 / large ₩39,000)
- Hand dumplings ₩7,000
The menu was laid out like this. We ordered bibim milmyeon (small – ₩8,000) x2 and suyuk baekban (₩13,000) x2.

The hot broth served alongside the bibim milmyeon
First they brought out the warm broth that's served alongside the bibim milmyeon, and it completely thawed out the chill I'd picked up from the KTX's air conditioning...! It was savory and pretty rich, so I kept sipping it.

For side dishes there was a full spread — lettuce, peppers, garlic, soy sauce, chives, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), kimchi, pickled radish and more. Every single side dish clearly had real skill behind it.

Small bibim milmyeon, ₩8,000: how the house-made noodles taste
Bibim milmyeon (small – ₩8,000). When you think of Busan, milmyeon is right up there with dwaeji gukbap as a must-try dish! It apparently grew out of the food culture of war refugees and became one of Busan's signature local dishes haha. It's a perfect menu for hot weather — chewy noodles tossed with a spicy-sour sauce that really wakes up your appetite. I expected something like bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles), but the sauce here is much bolder! The noodles are also softer and chewier than naengmyeon, and the rich sauce clings to them beautifully — a real Busan specialty.

Topped with two slices of meat and egg, alternating a sip of the warm broth, a bite of milmyeon, and a bite of dumpling was genuinely delicious...🤎

The noodles were so soft yet chewy that I wondered what the secret was — and there it was, proudly posted: house-made noodles haha. A good restaurant always has a reason!

Hand-made dumplings, ₩7,000
Hand dumplings (₩7,000). Being hand-made, the wrapper wasn't thick, and the filling — packed generously inside — had a clean, nutty flavor. You could really taste the care that went into them!

Suyuk baekban, ₩13,000: tender pork with no gamey smell
Suyuk baekban (₩13,000). This is the suyuk (boiled pork) baekban that surprised me with how tender it was! The fat and lean meat were mixed in just the right proportion, chewing through cleanly with no gamey smell and a clean, savory flavor — really well-boiled pork that I ate very happily 🥹 Dipped in the tangy soy sauce served alongside, it picked up even more depth from the soy sauce's flavor.
The rich, savory broth, with a sprinkle of pepper eaten together with rice and suyuk, kept going down endlessly — a really satisfying bowl of dwaeji gukbap 🐷
Is Yeongdong a good first or last meal at Busan Station?
Being able to enjoy both dwaeji gukbap and milmyeon — Busan's signature dishes — in one spot right in front of Busan Station made it a great stop for a first or last meal of the trip 👍🏻 From the hot, savory pork soup to the cool, chewy milmyeon, it's a combo that really lets you taste Busan properly! If you're looking for a filling, delicious meal near Busan Station, I recommend Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap!
