Gongdo, Anseong brunch café: truffle risotto & corn loaf, Chat Baker

I was looking for a big café around Pyeongtaek and Anseong, and ended up at Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café in Gongdo, Anseong!

What are the exterior and parking like at Chat Baker?

Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café is a big café with a great vibe in Gongdo, Anseong, and the wide parking lot in front of the building makes it easy to come by car. Even the exterior is so pretty and moody, haha.

Every time I visit as my big café in Pyeongtaek-Anseong, I'm happy with it! I couldn't take a photo of the parking lot, but it's wide, so parking is easy, haha. No parking worries!

Chat Baker's bakery and menu

The bread shelves at Chat Baker are packed with all kinds of baked goods, and they say the bread is made by hand every day from dough at dawn through baking. I should order first before looking around the shop~

The bread shelves are full of variety! Under the motto "the philosophy of bread baked every day," Chat Baker's bakery does everything itself, from dough at dawn to baking. This place is totally a bread paradise.

I filmed the bakery shelves too, haha. After brunch I bought a corn loaf (옥수수식빵, corn-studded sandwich bread) to take home, and seriously, it was so good, seriously so good~ I'll have to buy it again next time :)

True to the line "serious about drinks and brunch," they say all of Chat Baker's base syrups and fruit preserves are simmered daily from whole ingredients and ground by hand!! The drinks and the brunch both have so, so many options~

If you write a Naver receipt review, they give you either a salt bread baked that day or a Chat Baker cup coaster :)

What's the interior and seating like at Chat Baker?

Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café in Anseong has two floors, and even though it's a big café, it isn't noisy, just comfortable ♥ Let me show you the first floor first.

1st floor: water curtain and soft light

The star of Chat Baker's first floor is the water curtain and soft light~ I didn't get to sit at that prime spot, but even from far away, the water streaming down the window was atmospheric and so pretty.

Roomy spacing between seats and high ceilings, totally great~ Pets are also welcome on the outdoor terrace!

2nd floor: a wide, comfortable place to linger

Head up the stairs and you reach the second floor~

The second floor of Chat Baker has a nice mood and lots of space too, haha. Chat Baker is a place to linger where you feel at ease even doing nothing!

What did we eat for brunch at Chat Baker?

At Chat Baker we ordered the Jambon Truffle Cream Risotto (₩17,800) and the Johnsonville Rosé Cream Pasta (₩19,000).

Ta-da~ our brunch, haha. So many dishes caught my eye that I agonized over it, and ended up trying the jambon truffle cream risotto and the Johnsonville rosé cream pasta. I'll show them one by one!

How does the Jambon Truffle Cream Risotto taste?

The Jambon Truffle Cream Risotto (Truffle Cream Mushroom Risotto) is a creamy, thick cream risotto made with button mushrooms, jambon (Korean-style cured ham) and truffle oil.

Rich truffle aroma and a thick, gooey risotto~ totally delicious. There are quite a lot of tasty jambon slices in it too!

How does the Johnsonville rosé cream dish taste?

The menu describes it as "RoseCream Risotto with Sausage": a rich tomato-cream rosé sauce, with Johnsonville sausage rounding it out into a hearty dish.

Johnsonville sausage and rosé sauce is the best combo~ The rosé sauce is super tasty, and eaten with the sausage the texture and flavor get even more varied and good. Yum, haha. Thanks for the meal!

Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café has parking, so it's easy to visit by car, and from the outside to the inside it's a cozy, moody, comfortable café :) From bread baked in-store to all kinds of drinks and brunch! Come enjoy good food and some relaxation~
