Neuru Jip is a dakgalbi restaurant near Lake Park in Seosan, Chungnam. I had two portions of its bone-in “real dakgalbi,” followed by fried rice, served warm in a cast-iron pan. Verdict: a memorable, hearty dinner after a Lake Park outing.

Neuru Jip for dinner near Seosan Lake Park
After visiting Seosan Lake Park, I was wondering what to have for dinner. I wanted something filling but a little different from my usual choices. That’s how I found Neuru Jip (느루집) in Eupnae-dong, Seosan.

You can find Neuru Jip by heading from the main intersection at Seosan Lake Park toward Eupnae Hyundai Apartments. It is close to the park, so it is in a nice spot for a meal after a walk or a date.

Rather than looking for a dedicated parking lot, it is more convenient to use a nearby public parking lot. The route also seemed handy for anyone looking for dinner near Seosan Lake Park.

I heard it was selected for the 2026 Blue Ribbon Survey’s nationwide restaurant guide. Since it earned its place as a restaurant known for dakgalbi, I was even more curious about the menu :)

“Real dakgalbi” served with the bone on
The menu I chose that day was Neuru Jip’s signature Real Dakgalbi, two portions!

When you think of dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken), you usually picture easy-to-eat pieces of cut chicken. Here, true to its name, the dakgalbi comes with the bone attached, which was unique :) Neuru Jip says it uses 100% fresh Korean whole chicken leg meat.

More than anything, the look of the dakgalbi caught my eye.

Unlike the griddled dakgalbi we usually imagine, this came with the bone still on, so it looked distinctly different at first glance.

A professional griller cooks it directly and serves it ready to eat, so there is no need to get flustered doing the grilling yourself.

When you go out for meat and get assigned grill duty, you are secretly pretty busy, haha.

I liked that I could simply sit back and enjoy perfectly grilled dakgalbi here.
A cast-iron pan keeps it warm to the very end

The dakgalbi arrives in a cast-iron pan. Because the thick pan holds heat for a long time, the chicken did not cool down easily while I ate. I loved that it stayed warm even while taking my time and chatting.

The boneless pieces were moist with a satisfying bite, while picking the meat from around the bone was fun, too. The seasoning went beautifully with the chicken and kept drawing me back for more.

If you are looking for dakgalbi at a good Seosan restaurant and want something a little different, this is worth remembering.

There were also generous chunks of sweet potato and tteoksari (rice cakes), making every bite extra fun~!!

Do you know the fragrant joy of wrapping it in perilla leaves!?

It was also delicious with baekkimchi (mild white kimchi) among the side dishes~!
Once you have had dakgalbi, you cannot skip the fried rice

Add fried rice after the dakgalbi
And for the finale, we added fried rice! If you eat dakgalbi without fried rice, it somehow feels like the meal is not quite over, haha. The leftover dakgalbi flavor and seasoning blended into the fried rice, so I kept reaching for my spoon even though I was full.

Neuru Jip says it uses sesame oil pressed in-house with a low-temperature method. Maybe that is why the fried rice had such a lovely nutty flavor. Dakgalbi → fried rice really is the classic combination.
Next time, budae jjigae too
Along with dakgalbi, Neuru Jip also introduces budae jjigae (army stew) as a signature dish. It is said to use a rich beef-bone broth and plenty of premium ham for savory depth. I had dakgalbi this time, so I did not get to try the budae jjigae as well. Still, reading the menu description made me want to order it on my next visit. I think it would be especially perfect when the weather turns chilly and you are craving a hot, comforting broth.
Neuru Jip stayed with me because I could try “real dakgalbi” with the bone on rather than the familiar griddled version. It uses 100% fresh Korean chicken and is cooked by a professional griller, so I could enjoy my meal comfortably. Finishing with fried rice after eating warm to the last bite in the cast-iron pan made it feel like a truly satisfying meal :) If you need a hearty dinner after visiting Seosan Lake Park or are looking for dakgalbi at a Seosan restaurant, the bone-in dakgalbi at Neuru Jip could be a great choice. Next time, I need to take on the budae jjigae, too!
