These days when I go café-hopping, it's hard to walk past a place with pretty desserts haha. I love cakes piled with fruit, so this time I visited Diaz Cake Boutique (디아즈케이크부띠끄), a café near Suwon City Hall Station in Ingye-dong, Suwon '-
Where is Diaz Cake Boutique, and where can you park?
Diaz Cake Boutique is on the 2nd floor of 48-7 Ingye-ro 166beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon, open daily from 10:00 to 21:00. There's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to use a nearby paid parking lot and walk over.

It's close enough to walk from Suwon City Hall Station, so it's also fine to visit by public transit. It's a good spot to have a meal in Ingye-dong and then swing by for cake and coffee for dessert.

The first thing that catches your eye at Diaz Cake Boutique is, of course, the cakes. A variety of cakes are lined up in the display case, and honestly, they all look good enough to want to try one of each!
Diaz is known for cakes made with seasonal fruit, using 100% dairy cream across a range of cakes. Depending on the season you'll find strawberry, peach, mango, or fig on the menu — whatever fruit is at its best. When I visited, fig, one of autumn's signature fruits, immediately caught my eye.
They also sell candles to celebrate when you buy a cake.

Inside Diaz Cake Boutique: the second-floor space
The inside of Diaz Cake Boutique was much more upscale and charming than I expected. A lot of cafés these days go for clean, modern interiors, but Diaz Cake Boutique felt warmer and more sentimental. The tables and chairs are neatly arranged and the shop itself feels cozy — a good spot to quietly chat with a friend or go on a date over dessert.
The overall mood is upscale, but with cute little props scattered around, so it never feels too stiff or heavy. It suited the feeling of slowly enjoying tea time over a pretty cake.
Personally, it's a pretty space for photos too, so I got to capture the café atmosphere along with the cake shots.
How does the fig slice cake taste?
The fig slice cake at Diaz Cake Boutique is ₩11,900, and since figs are in season right now, it looked really appetizing. Figs were beautifully arranged on top of the cake, so it looked great too — perfect for photos haha.
Figs don't have a strong sweetness like strawberries, but their soft, subtle sweetness pairs really well with fresh cream cake.
There were also figs layered between the sponge and cream, so with every bite you get the soft cream along with the fig's gentle sweetness.

The original financier at Diaz Cake Boutique is ₩3,000. A financier is a baked treat with a slightly crisp outside and a moist, chewy inside — the appeal is all in that texture. The rich, nutty butter flavor comes through gently, and it's not overly sweet, so it went well with coffee.
The iced americano at Diaz Cake Boutique is ₩5,500. Cake always calls for an americano, right, haha. When I order something sweet, I usually get an americano alongside it. After the soft, sweet fig cake, a sip of americano felt like it cleaned my palate right up! Cake and coffee together made for a perfect dessert time.
The green tea latte at Diaz Cake Boutique is ₩8,100. The fragrant green tea flavor combined with the smooth latte went nicely with the cake too. Where the americano cuts through the cake with a clean finish, the green tea latte lets you enjoy the dessert in a softer, sweeter way.

There are so many cafés in Ingye-dong, Suwon, that it can be hard to decide where to go. Diaz Cake Boutique isn't just a place for coffee — it's a spot to enjoy pretty cakes, seasonal fruit, and a charming space all together. The interior is upscale yet full of cute touches, so it was great for photos too.
This time I had the fig slice cake, but next time I'd love to try another seasonal fruit cake.
