Natural CS perm at The Art Hair, a Paju hair salon

I visited The Art Hair Unjeong Station (띠아트헤어 운정역점) because I wanted a perm with naturally lifted volume. I received a CS perm using a root perm and a heat perm, and liked how the curls turned out while keeping my hair length.

How do you get there from Unjeong Station, and is parking available?

The salon is on the second floor at 21 Waseoksunhwan-ro 515beon-gil, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. According to the hours listed in the original post, it is open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and closed every Tuesday.

It was in a convenient location for walking from Unjeong Station. Parking is available in the building, with space for more than 100 cars.

During my visit, I was also told about a 30% discount event on perms by the assigned stylist.

Was the salon atmosphere and treatment seat comfortable?

When I entered, the salon felt clean overall and spacious enough that it did not feel cramped. In the center was a small garden-like area combining rocks and plants.

Before the treatment, I stored my outerwear and bag in a locker. Keeping my belongings there separately made me more comfortable during the appointment.

The treatment seats had large mirrors and beige-toned chairs. Sunlight came in well through the windows, making the space bright, and there was enough distance between the seats that I did not feel too close to other customers.

Hair products sold or used at the salon were neatly arranged along one side.

How did I discuss the CS perm style I wanted?

I said I wanted a style with naturally visible volume rather than overly defined curls. The stylist checked the condition of my hair and discussed an approach that suited both the look I wanted and my hair.

Before the treatment, we moved to the shampoo area to check my hair. It was clean and organized, with several shampoo chairs, so it felt spacious.

They also prepared a drink for me during the treatment. I chose an iced Americano and had the accompanying snacks while getting my hair done.

How was my weakened hair treated after frequent styling?

My hair had become quite weak from frequent treatments. They first applied a relatively mild softening solution, then proceeded slowly while checking the condition of my hair at intervals. After rinsing out the solution, they continued with the perm.

They straightened the frizzy sections remaining on the inside of my hair one section at a time with a flat iron. After checking the inner hair as well, they moved on to the neutralizing step, which made me feel that they were examining my hair carefully.

How did the curls and hair length change after the CS perm?

After neutralization, the curls flowed without looking too strong, while the volume was still visible. I was satisfied because they were close to the natural CS curls I had described during the consultation.

Before the treatment, my hair had generally fallen in a smooth, straight-looking shape. After the perm, the curls changed the overall impression. I could create a change while keeping the length, and especially liked how the curls showed when I wore my hair down.
