Paju hair salon vintage perm styling: Tti Art Hair

After the summer, my hair had become so damaged that styling it was difficult. The perm I got in spring had also loosened, leaving my hair frizzy, so I visited Tti Art Hair Unjeong Station Branch (띠아트헤어 운정역점) to tidy it up and change my mood.

How far is the salon from Unjeong Station, and is parking convenient?

The salon is on the second floor of a building about a 5–7-minute walk from Paju’s Unjeong Station. The address is 21 Waseokhwan-ro 515beon-gil, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. The business hours provided during my visit were 10:00–19:30, and it was closed every Tuesday.

For parking, I used Aju Parking Building, the parking garage in the building. The second floor of the parking garage connects directly to the hair salon, so getting there was convenient.

I could enter directly through the entrance connected to the second-floor parking area.

What were the salon atmosphere and treatment seats like?

The interior was bright and comfortable. The clean design made it easy to relax while having my hair done.

I booked through Naver and had a consultation as soon as I arrived. When I called to ask questions before visiting, the staff also responded kindly.

Hair products sold at the salon were also displayed, so I looked around briefly.

I stored my coat and belongings in a locker before moving to the treatment seat.

There was plenty of space between the seats, and the areas were well separated. I liked that I did not have to worry much about other people watching me.

Before the treatment, I checked the price list.

Why did I choose a vintage perm after the consultation?

While we discussed my hairstyle, they brought me coffee and snacks. That helped me continue the consultation comfortably.

Before the treatment, the perm I had gotten in spring had mostly loosened, leaving my hair frizzy. After I showed the stylist a photo of the look I wanted, they examined my face shape and hair condition and recommended a vintage perm. I had originally been considering a setting perm, but chose the vintage perm after hearing that it would be easier to manage.

How did the process go from the haircut to the vintage perm?

First, they trimmed the damaged ends and carried out a softening treatment. They applied the solution carefully according to the condition of my hair.

During the consultation, they explained that a vintage perm creates moderate volume at the roots and natural waves from the middle of the hair to the ends. This time, they used slightly thicker rods to create a natural look.

The treatment used a digital perm, a heat-perm method. During the heat treatment, they kept checking whether my scalp felt too hot or whether anything was uncomfortable, so I was able to receive the treatment comfortably.

After the perm and neutralizing process, I had a refreshing shampoo in the shampoo area.

How did the finished curls and at-home styling turn out?

At the end, they blow-dried my hair and showed me how to care for it at home. Since this was my first vintage perm, I was worried about the result, but I liked the finished curls.

The stylist recommended the following styling method.

• After towel-drying your hair, apply curl cream or hair essence while it is still damp.
• Take small sections of hair with a round brush and alternate the direction of the blow-dryer airflow up and down to create a natural jelly-perm look.

At home, I could not style it to look as polished as when the professional did it. Still, I have been managing it in my own way by following the instructions. Trimming the damaged ends and adding fresh curls made me feel lighter too.
