Paju hair salon for medium-length C-curl volume straightening: Tthe Art Hair
In short
Tthe Art Hair Unjeong Station Branch is a hair salon in Paju, Gyeonggi, where I had a cut, C-curl volume straightening, and an iron root perm for layered medium-length hair. The roughly 3.5-hour appointment kept as much length as possible and made the inward-curving ends easier for me to style at home.

What treatment did I get for medium-length hair that flipped out at the shoulders?
After cutting my long hair to a medium length, the ends kept flipping outward at my shoulders. I had many layers, plus remnants of a perm from earlier this year, so one side turned inward while the other stuck out. Even when I styled it every morning, the directions were all different and difficult to manage.
With an awkward length and so many layers, I was worried volume straightening would not create the shape I wanted. I visited Tthe Art Hair Unjeong Station Branch (띠아트헤어 운정역점) for a consultation and received a cut, C-curl volume straightening, and an iron root perm.

Was parking convenient, and how long did the appointment take?
The salon is on the second floor at 21 Waseoksunhwan-ro 515beon-gil, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. The original post lists its hours as 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with Tuesdays closed. I drove there, and the building parking lot was spacious, so I had no trouble parking.

There were also dedicated parking spaces in front of the salon. Since I expected the treatment to take a while, I booked 10:00 AM; everything I had done took about 3 hours 30 minutes in total.
The salon was neat, with plenty of space between the seats. After greeting my stylist, I was shown to a seat farther inside.

Could my heavily layered hair be tidied while keeping the length?
When I made my Naver Booking reservation, I wrote down my current hair concerns, and they reviewed them carefully before the consultation. Before the treatment, my shoulder-length hair had many layers and waves, causing the ends to flip in several directions.

When I said I was growing my hair out, they said they would preserve as much length as possible, cut only what was needed, and then proceed with the perm. I explained that I wanted the top to retain volume while being neatly straightened, and the ends to curve inward in a C-curl without large waves. We kept discussing the direction of my hair during the treatment as well as in the consultation.
First, I received a cut to even out the difference in length between the upper and lower sections. Matching the layers without taking off much length gave it balance even after the cut alone.

After the cut, volume-straightening solution and C-curl perm solution were applied. Once the perm was finished, my hair was refined once more with a cut.

Was it comfortable during the long appointment?
The seat was comfortable, and coffee and snacks were prepared for me. They also asked whether I needed another drink midway through, so I was able to stay comfortably during the treatment.

The wall was made of floor-to-ceiling glass, so I did not feel cramped or bored despite sitting for a long time.

How did the iron root perm and C-curl volume straightening proceed?
After shampooing, I received an iron root perm before the volume straightening. My stylist explained that it suited my hair, whose roots tend to lie flat and have some natural curl.

The roots were divided into small sections and treated one section at a time. The work was done to create natural-looking volume at the roots that had been lying flat.

A C-curl was added to the lower part of my hair. I was told it would be shaped to curve naturally toward the front even with a light hand-dry. Although it was shoulder length, the ends curved inward without large waves.

For the volume straightening, I wanted my hair to straighten neatly without clinging to my face. Afterward, it was tidied without the frizz or bent appearance I had worried about.

After the straightening treatment, I had my hair shampooed. They said they would keep it gentle in consideration of the treatment, but it still felt refreshing to me.
Was it easy to style at home after the treatment?
Once the iron root perm and C-curl volume straightening were complete, I had medium-length hair with volume at the roots and inward-curving ends.

Comparing before and after, my hair, which had many layers and went in different directions, looked much more orderly. I liked that it kept as much length as possible while achieving the C-curl shape I wanted.

Even when I dried it myself at home, the ends curved inward naturally after I tidied it a few times with my hands. On days I styled it that way, the neat shape lasted all day, which was convenient.

What stood out most from this visit was the consultation, which carefully checked my hair condition and the shape I wanted. I had been concerned because of all the layers, but I could tidy both the root volume and the C-curl at the ends while cutting only as much as needed. Below, I also included how it looked after I dried it myself.
