It's only about a 2-minute walk from Anguk Station, so it's super convenient by public transit, and it's a great spot to grab a satisfying meal after soaking in that distinct Anguk-area atmosphere. Everything from the interior to the menu was satisfying! Here's my review of 'Low Five Anguk'! 🍕

The wait outside Low Five Anguk on a rainy weekday evening

Low Five Anguk grabs your attention from the outside. With red brick 🧱 and a red canopy awning, it felt like some fancy American steakhouse, which honestly got me a little excited haha.

Seeing the waiting machine set up out front, I thought, yep, this really is a popular pizza spot near Anguk Station lol. Even though it was a rainy weekday evening, there was already a wait. They also had the menu nicely posted outside so you could decide what to order before going in — really convenient.

Inside Low Five Anguk: self-serve bar and baby chairs

Once you step inside, the interior catches your eye right away — European-feeling yet fresh and cozy. The ceiling is lined with greenery, and wood-toned tables sit underneath, making for a really nice atmosphere. Half the ceiling was left exposed, giving it an open feel, and the red windows plus mirrors scattered around added to that sense of openness.

The self-serve bar had Tabasco, grated parmesan, wet wipes, tissues, cutlery, and water with cups — you just take as much as you need.

We'd already grabbed the Tabasco and parmesan, and they set us up with small plates, cutlery, water and cups, plus jalapeños as a default.

The restroom is inside too, kept nice and clean, and they have baby chairs, so families with little ones should be able to visit comfortably. The menu can be checked via QR code, and you can order right from there.

There's also separate bar seating.

The menu has pizza, pasta, kimchi fried rice, and Caesar salad, plus beer, wine, soft drinks, and coffee. The most popular items at Low Five Anguk, this pizza spot near Anguk Station, seem to be the corn pizza and taco pizza.

They said the classic lasagna is sold in limited quantities, so if you're interested, better go early. The avocado kimchi fried rice is apparently popular too — I'd love to try that next time. Every item on the menu felt distinct, which made choosing part of the fun.

What we ordered at Low Five Anguk

We ordered the half-and-half (half corn pizza, half taco pizza), plus the hot pot vaccheria pasta and Caesar salad.

The Caesar salad came out first, and they told us to squeeze the grilled lemon over it. The freshness of the vegetables was obvious just by looking, and it was piled high with shredded cheese, making it look appetizing even for a salad.

There were cherry tomatoes mixed in too, and they were so tasty on their own that they really got the appetite going.

Hot pot vaccheria pasta

Next up was the hot pot vaccheria pasta, a spicy seafood pasta with a tomato sauce base.

It was loaded with clams, shrimp, and squid, and the broth had a spicy kick that cut through the richness of the pizza well. There was a slightly exotic flavor I kept trying to place, which turned out to be a hint of cilantro. I usually can't handle cilantro, but it was subtle enough that I could enjoy it without any issue. The noodles are spaghetti by default, but you can switch to linguine.

Half-and-half pizza: corn and taco

Finally, the pizza we'd been waiting for arrived. For the taco pizza, they told us to squeeze lime over it and eat it with Tabasco.

We started with the corn pizza first — the corn was sweet, like eating fresh sweet corn,

and being cream-based, it was soft and sweet, which would be great for kids too.

Next was the taco pizza, which had one big shrimp on each slice.

After squeezing lime and dashing on some Tabasco, one bite hit with an exotic, punchy flavor. The shrimp was plump, and the crust had this crispy baguette-like texture, so we enjoyed it right to the last bite.

Verdict: who should visit Low Five Anguk?

If you're visiting Anguk and looking for a place with great atmosphere and distinctive food, I'd really recommend Low Five Anguk. 👍🏻
