Takeout-only coffee bar in Songdo outlet food court: Wunder Coffee Bar

In short

Wunder Coffee Bar Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is a takeout-style coffee bar inside the basement 1 food square of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo in Yeonsu, Incheon. A hojicha Wunder Gato with an iced Americano came to 12,000 won as a set, eaten at the food square tables, and it tasted best when the ice cream was scooped first and then stirred into the coffee. With no seats inside Wunder Coffee Bar itself, it suits a quick sweet break mid-shopping rather than a long sit-down.

Visit to basement 1 of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo

I had a reason to stop by the Hyundai Premium Outlet in Songdo, and while shopping I decided to grab a coffee too, so I headed to Wunder Coffee Bar Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch in the basement 1 food square. When looking for a Songdo outlet café, it's always more convenient to find one you can hit right on your shopping route, and I liked that this one is inside the food square so you don't even have to step outside the building. That day I picked the signature Wunder Gato with hojicha ice cream, and ordered an iced Americano alongside it. Let me give you the honest rundown, one thing at a time!

Where is Wunder Coffee Bar in the Songdo outlet? Basement 1 food square

Toward the entrance of the basement 1 food square

Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo is located in the basement 1 food square of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch. It's connected to Technopark Station on Incheon Subway Line 1, so you can walk there. It was a good spot to duck into mid-shopping when you're craving coffee or a little dessert.

WUNDER COFFEE BAR sign inside the food square

Once you walk into the food square, the WUNDER COFFEE BAR sign is right there, so it wasn't hard to find the shop.

Coffee-bar-style Wunder Coffee Bar shop inside the food square

Rather than a large standalone café, it's more of a neatly set-up coffee bar within the food square, so the flow of ordering and picking up your drink was simple.

Long ordering counter at Wunder Coffee Bar with nearby food square stalls

The front of the shop has a long ordering counter, with other food square stalls visible around it. The biggest thing I noticed on my visit was that there's no seating inside Wunder Coffee Bar itself — you take your drink and find a seat in the food square area.

Inside Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo, order-only with no seating

So it was convenient for a takeout-style break while shopping at the outlet, but if you're looking for a place to sit and linger inside a café for a while, it's good to know this ahead of time.

Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo used in takeout style

Apparently Wunder Coffee Bar started in August 2019 out of an 8-pyeong (about 26㎡) space in Yeokgok, Bucheon. The brand aims for coffee that's comfortable to drink every day by adding a bar concept to coffee, and it's said to have kept developing everything from specialty coffee to signature menu items and desserts — so this time I went with something from the signature lineup.

Wunder Coffee Bar menu, prices and the set I ordered

Wunder Coffee Bar menu board listing coffee, non-coffee, and cream coffee

The menu was more varied than I expected, spanning coffee, non-coffee drinks, and cream coffee.

The basic coffee menu shown in the photo listed Americano at ₩5,000, Café Latte at ₩5,500, and Vanilla Latte at ₩6,000, and the cream coffee section also had a Matcha Chou-Fener and Mocha Chou-Fener.

Wunder Gato was listed at ₩7,500 on its own, and the Wunder Gato + Americano combo I chose came to a total of ₩12,000 as the in-store set price.

Soft serve and dwaejibar ice cream menu listing

Besides Wunder Gato, there was also a good range of ice cream items — soft serve, chocolate ice cream cups, dwaejibar (chocolate-coated stick) ice cream, and more. It felt less like a coffee-only shop and more like a place where coffee and ice cream are meant to be enjoyed together, which stood out among the Songdo Hyundai outlet cafés if you're also craving dessert.

Noche Blend and Marron Decaf bean signage

There was also a separate sign for the beans on offer, showing Noche Blend and Marron Decaf. A decaf swap option was also written on the menu board, so if you want to cut back on caffeine, it's worth checking when you order.

Hojicha, vanilla, and mix flavor guide for Wunder Gato ice cream

And for the Wunder Gato ice cream flavor, you could choose between

  • ✅ Hojicha original
  • ✅ Vanilla
  • ✅ Hojicha & Vanilla mix

I went with hojicha without hesitation. The color that actually came out really was that brown tone in the photo, and visually it was clearly different from a regular vanilla soft serve.

What does the hojicha Wunder Gato with iced Americano taste like?

What I ordered was the hojicha Wunder Gato and an iced Americano!

Wunder Gato has coffee poured into the bottom of the cup with soft serve piled high on top, so I found myself taking photos the moment I got it. Setting it next to the Americano, the cup colors and logo matched nicely, which made for a pretty picture.

Wunder Gato and iced Americano set on a food square seat

I found a seat in the food square and dug in. Ordering the iced Americano alongside the Wunder Gato was nice — one cup to sip cleanly as coffee, the other to enjoy with ice cream on the side.

I'm usually a fan of affogato, and that day the hojicha ice cream in particular was genuinely delicious.

Being able to enjoy coffee and ice cream in one go was the biggest appeal of Wunder Gato.

How to eat a Wunder Gato: scoop the ice cream first, then mix

Scooping hojicha Wunder Gato soft serve with a spoon

The store's guidance said to taste the ice cream first, then mix it in well, when eating Wunder Gato.

I scooped up the ice cream on top with a spoon, then naturally mixed it into the coffee below, and it was fun to be able to switch between an ice cream feel and an affogato feel within a single cup depending on how you ate it.

The more you mix, the more smoothly the ice cream blends with the coffee, and you can see the color turn lighter than at the start, while still keeping a good thick texture.

Personally, if you're ordering Wunder Gato, I'd recommend taking a bite of the ice cream on top first rather than mixing it right away with a straw, then mixing it into the coffee after.

A sweet coffee dessert stop at Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo

While shopping at the Songdo outlet, sometimes you just want a cup of coffee, but sometimes you also want something a little sweet on top of that.

Wunder Coffee Bar was good for a day like that. If you're an affogato fan especially, I think Wunder Gato is worth trying once. Being able to choose between hojicha, vanilla, or the mix was also nice, since you can pick according to your taste. That said, as I mentioned above, since the flow is to order and then find a seat in the food square rather than lingering at dedicated café seating, it might feel a bit different from what you're after on a day when you want a quiet, seated Songdo café.
