You know the Nintendo Switch 2 came out this year, right?! I really wanted to try it properly, so I went to a board game café~

Holmes & Lupin24 OTT Board Game Plus Incheon Dongchun is an unmanned board game café at 933-10 Dongchun-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, open 24 hours a day, every day. There's street parking available in Dongchun-dong.

Holmes & Lupin24 is near Nazareth International Hospital in Incheon — go into the alley and it's on the 2nd floor. Let's go~

I went during the day so it didn't matter, but apparently after 10pm you need to verify your ID to enter~

Unstaffed and charged per room, so there is no pressure

True to its name, Holmes & Lupin24 runs unmanned so you can use it 24 hours a day!!!! You just pay for a pass at the kiosk yourself and enter. Usually places like this require you to order drinks or food, but here you're not paying per person, just per room, so you can use it freely with zero pressure.

Today we decided to properly enjoy the Nintendo Switch 2, so we booked the OTT mat room for 3 hours and headed in~~

Inside the board game room and its game list

Before going in, we checked out the board game room~~ Games displayed on one side and board game rooms lined up in a row on the other — looked really convenient.

There were signs recommending games by group size, and the rule sheets/tracking papers needed for each game were neatly organized at the entrance.

The board game list was organized in a neat table, so if you spot a game you know, you can just go grab it!! My top picks lately are Gangster and Skull King. Both are card games where you predict outcomes, and they're really fun. Simple but you keep thinking about them.

Snacks and ramyeon at the self-serve corner

Drinks or snacks aren't required, but when you're gaming you get hungry and keep craving something to eat or drink~ There were plenty of snacks, drinks, ramyeon, and frozen/instant foods, more than enough to fill you up!!

What is the Nintendo Switch 2 mat room like?

Straight in~ Since it's an OTT room, you can obviously watch Netflix, Wavve, and other OTT services too, not just Nintendo. I was too busy just enjoying Nintendo to even try those, hahaha.

The mat room is great for gaming comfortably while lying down~~ I laid right down on the bear cushion.

There were 12 built-in games on the Nintendo!! Such a great variety to enjoy in one visit!!

Rhythm Heaven

Who hasn't played Rhythm Heaven on the Nintendo DS as a kid? I doubt anyone hasn't... A super simple, fun game to play with a group.

It Takes Two

A game where two people cooperate to solve puzzles and defeat bosses!! So much fun, highly recommend.

Overcooked

This one's a cooperative cooking game for up to 4 players, making dishes as orders come in. As it gets harder, ingredients get thrown and knocked around and it's chaos, but super fun and hilarious lol.

Watermelon Game

You know the 2468 game, right. Once you're hooked there's no escape, but I found out you can play a fruit version on Nintendo too.

Cookie Yomi

A game where you read the situation and act accordingly. The outcome changes depending on your actions, which makes it fun too lol.

Super Mario Party Jamboree

When you gather a group, Mario Party is the classic choice. Time flies playing mini-games with the cute Mario characters.

If you want to go head-to-head on brain teasers and quick reflexes with a group, you must try this one!! So good.

Pico Park 2

Mario Kart World

A classic kart game, but it really feels like you've gone to hang out on that map, and every comeback gives you a huge dopamine hit. Definitely play this one lol.

Verdict after 3 hours in the mat room

In 3 hours we skipped about 4 games and quickly tried a bit of everything else, and I was so satisfied. Especially when it's hot in summer and there's not much to do, a board game café is such a great indoor date option. The AC was blasting too, so if you're a little tired but still want to hang out, try visiting Holmes & Lupin24 Songdo Incheon Dongchun.

If 30 minutes isn't enough and you want more time, apparently there's a review event you can do too.
