They serve specialty coffee made with good ingredients and French bread made with French flour and rescue butter, plus fresh-squeezed seasonal fruit juice, bread baked by hand every morning, and sandwiches made with fresh vegetables.

The three drinks ordered at Degree Gojan Branch

Three drinks ordered at Degree Gojan Branch

We ordered three drinks at Degree Gojan Branch. (I'd eaten way too much at lunch, so I couldn't pick any bread.)

  • Watermelon juice
  • "Signature" cream Americano (iced)
  • Americano (iced)

How does Degree's watermelon juice taste?

Degree's watermelon juice tastes just like sweet, cool watermelon. It isn't overly sweet, and you can taste the natural sweetness of the watermelon itself, so it was easy to drink. I think it would suit anyone looking for a light, fresh drink instead of coffee.

How does the signature cream Americano taste?

The signature cream Americano I ordered looked delicious from the start, with plenty of soft, sweet cream piled on top of the coffee. You first taste the sweet, smooth cream, then the bittersweet flavor of strong coffee follows, and the two blended better than I expected.

Especially if you scoop the cream and coffee together as you drink, you get the soft cream and the strong coffee at the same time, which made it even tastier.

How does the iced Americano with LAKE beans taste?

At Degree you can choose the beans for your Americano. This time the beans were labeled 'LAKE', a blend of Brazil, Colombia and India. Nutty flavor, acidity and body were nicely balanced, so it was easy to drink without feeling heavy.

It was great as a clean iced Americano. The first sip has a gentle acidity and nutty flavor, and it finishes cleanly toward the end.

Then I just relaxed with my coffee, looking at the view outside through the big windows. A quiet cup of coffee is always nice.
