In short

Freewill Pizza is a handmade-dough pizzeria in Busanjin, Busan, about a 5-minute walk from Jeonpo Station Exits 7 and 8, styled like an American West pub. Four friends waited over 20 minutes, shared two half-and-half pizzas covering egg potato, bulgogi, Hawaiian and the signature Freewill pizza, added napa cabbage salad and fried button mushrooms (8,000 won each), and voted on their favorites. The tables are tight and there is a wait, but the unanimous No. 1 egg potato pizza and the fried mushrooms alone are reason enough to return to Freewill Pizza.

First photo on arrival at Freewill Pizza near Jeonpo Station

I finally visited Freewill Pizza with my food-loving friends — it's become a word-of-mouth favorite near Jeonpo Station. We thoroughly ate through egg potato, bulgogi, Hawaiian, and Freewill pizza plus fried button mushrooms and napa cabbage salad, and honestly, I had to admit this place deserves its reputation as a Jeonpo pizza spot~

It's about a 5-minute walk (382m) from Jeonpo Station Exits 7 and 8, so it's easy to reach by public transit. If you're driving, there's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to use a nearby public parking lot. It's tucked into the alley of Jeonpo Sagitgil, so if you stroll slowly you'll easily spot its atmospheric exterior~

How long is the wait at Freewill Pizza?

Freewill Pizza has more visitors than seats, so waiting is basically a given. We had 7 groups ahead of us and waited over 20 minutes before getting a table, so I'd recommend checking CatchTable in advance or visiting with some time to spare!

The exterior has an antique yet stylish look that reminds me of a small tavern in the American West. There are atmospheric outdoor seats in front of the shop — perfect for enjoying pizza and beer in the cooler weather these days!

Inside Freewill Pizza: are the tables too tight for 4?

Inside Freewill Pizza, warm lighting, vintage photo frames covering the walls, and moody music come together to complete a distinctly free-spirited American West pub atmosphere.

That said, the tables are on the small side, so with 4 of us ordering 2 pizzas plus several side dishes, the table got a bit tight. Something to keep in mind — enjoying the sides one at a time might be a small tip worth trying~

Which of Freewill Pizza's 4 pizzas is best? Our ranking

All 4 of us thoroughly tasted the 4 pizza flavors at Freewill Pizza and ran our own popularity vote 😋

A slice of Freewill Pizza's egg potato pizza

🥇 No. 1: Egg potato pizza

Egg potato pizza was the unanimous No. 1 pick from the whole group! Usually a potato pizza comes with big wedge-cut potatoes on top of the dough, but Freewill's egg potato pizza was uniquely different — it's piled high with soft, savory mashed egg and potato as the topping.

It clings to the dough and melts smoothly in your mouth — the texture is honestly insane haha 🔥 The flavor balance felt perfect, so we gave it first place!

Freewill Pizza's bulgogi pizza topped with enoki mushrooms

🥈 No. 2: Bulgogi pizza

Bulgogi pizza had absolutely no gamey meat smell and was really clean, and above all, topping it with enoki mushrooms fried until crispy was a genuine stroke of genius!

The savory umami of the bulgogi combined with the crunchy texture of the enoki mushrooms made this a menu item we kept reaching for until the very end.

🥉 Tied No. 3: Freewill pizza and Hawaiian pizza

The signature Freewill pizza loaded with toppings

The signature Freewill pizza, loaded with bacon, sausage, pepperoni, beef, and vegetables, showed a rich balance between ingredients — a true classic done right.

Freewill Pizza's Hawaiian pizza topped with pineapple

Hawaiian pizza had sweet pineapple, bacon, and cream cheese coming together for that distinctive sweet-and-savory charm! It did a great job cutting through the rich cheesy flavor of the pizza and keeping it from feeling too heavy.

What is Freewill Pizza's handmade dough like?

Freewill Pizza's dough is hand-kneaded and long-fermented, so even down to the crust edges it's crispy outside and chewy inside — there wasn't a single bite worth skipping at this Jeonpo pizza spot!

Best sides at Freewill Pizza: fried mushrooms and napa cabbage salad

These are Freewill Pizza's two signature side dishes. I agonized over what to order before visiting, but since reviews said the napa cabbage salad and fried mushrooms were good, we tried them.

Napa cabbage salad (8,000 won)

The napa cabbage salad had crisp cabbage topped with Freewill's own special handmade ranch sauce and seasoning, and it tasted refreshing. I thought it paired well alongside the pizza. That said, the flavor was similar to the pizza dipping sauce, so it was best enjoyed in light bites haha

Freshly fried button mushrooms from Freewill Pizza
A bite of the crispy-battered fried button mushroom

Fried button mushrooms (8,000 won)

The fried button mushrooms came out freshly fried, plump mushrooms coated in a crispy batter — this was one of the group's top favorites. The mushrooms' own rich juiciness was amazing, and the aroma and texture were perfect, calling for a glass of beer. My friend and I both stamped this as our recommended side!

Is Freewill Pizza in Jeonpo worth a return visit?

Freewill Pizza offers excellent accessibility — just a 5-minute walk from Jeonpo Station — plus a strong American West atmosphere and unusual specialty handmade pizzas at reasonable prices. The seats aren't very spacious, so ordering multiple dishes makes the table a bit tight, and there's often a wait, but the uniquely flavorful egg potato pizza and unusual side dish combo make it worth putting up with all that — reason enough to visit Freewill Pizza again :)
