Second-round sashimi platter for three in Jeonpo, Busan: Rigo Susan
In short
Rigo Susan Jeonpo Station Main Branch is a live-fish aged sashimi and raw shrimp bar at 13 Jeonpo-daero 216beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan. After finishing a first round next door, three of us moved to Rigo Susan and ordered the medium mixed sashimi + Dalma shrimp platter (79,000 won), which came with still-moving live shrimp, a spread of eight or more side dishes, and fried shrimp heads. For a second round in Jeonpo-dong, Rigo Susan serves enough food to make a full meal, not just drinking snacks.

The Jeonpo-dong live shrimp bar right next to our first stop
Rigo Susan Jeonpo Station Main Branch is a live-fish aged sashimi bar at 13 Jeonpo-daero 216beon-gil, Busanjin-gu. My partner can't do most seafood, but raw shrimp is the one thing they'll happily eat with me!!!
🦐-🦐-🦐 When they said I could pick round two, I went straight for raw shrimp without a second thought — and it turned out there was a raw shrimp spot, Rigo Susan, right next to our first bar!!!

Rigo Susan is a live-fish aged sashimi bar in Jeonpo-dong. They source directly from the fish market so you can enjoy fresh, alive raw shrimp at its peak. Let's go.
8+ types of banchan, 3–5 types of sashimi / changes with seasonal availability
What Rigo Susan is like at 7pm on a weekday
I visited on a weekday at 7pm and it was still packed! (Luckily no wait though!) The place is clean, with 2-top and 4-top tables,

You order via tablet, and utensils, wet wipes, napkins, soy sauce for sashimi, and chojang (vinegar chili sauce) are all set on the table by default. Popcorn comes out as a starter 🍿

The bathroom even has a hair straightener, hair dryer, mouthwash, floss, hair ties, cotton swabs, and deodorizer — is this a bathroom or a makeup room?

Rigo Susan menu and prices
The menu at Rigo Susan Jeonpo Station Main Branch includes the gizzard shad sashimi platter for ₩49,000, the Dalma shrimp platter (Small ₩49,000 / Medium ₩69,000 / Large ₩89,000), and the mixed sashimi + Dalma shrimp platter (Small ₩59,000 / Medium ₩79,000 / Large ₩99,000).
- Gizzard shad sashimi platter — seasonal gizzard shad sourced fresh every morning, served at its freshest (₩49,000)
- Live shrimp platter — 100% live shrimp sourced every morning, peeled to order right when you order it (may not be available if the kitchen is slammed)

For the mixed sashimi, Rigo Susan says they source fresh live fish from Busan every morning. Salmon, flatfish, rockfish, and needlefish, among other seasonal fish, are aged at the optimal temperature, drawing out the deep, rich flavor of the fish — the texture gets even softer and the umami doubles~!

✅ Main menu — aged salmon sashimi, mixed sashimi + Dalma shrimp platter (Small 59.0 / Medium 79.0 / Large 99.0), Dalma shrimp platter (Small 49.0 / Medium 69.0 / Large 89.0), salmon + Dalma shrimp platter (Small 56.0 / Medium 76.0 / Large 96.0)

Seafood add-ons, and mackerel stick sushi (saba bo-zushi).

Seasonal gizzard shad taster ₩20.0 / extra mixed sashimi, live shrimp, or Dalma shrimp (Small 20.0 / Medium 30.0 / Large 40.0) / seared mackerel add-on ₩21.0. There's also fish bone stew, mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), and rice as side dishes, and you can order extra banchan to suit your taste.
What comes on the side-dish spread
The reason I came to Rigo Susan is exactly this — the side dishes served with the sashimi~! The banchan comes out as a full spread covering the table.

Okonomiyaki (savory pancake) / stir-fried sausage and vegetables

Spicy raw fish salad vegetables / baek-kimchi (white kimchi)

- Garlic, cheongyang chili, perilla leaves, garlic chojang
- Cold buckwheat noodles / assorted fried tempura
- Tofu kimchi / boiled shrimp
- Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) / California roll
- Tartar sauce, dried seaweed for rice
The medium mixed sashimi + raw shrimp platter for three
Mixed sashimi + raw shrimp sashimi, medium
With three of us, we ordered the medium size. Lemon, ginger, pickled ginger (rakkyo), and radish sprouts came out on a separate plate.

The food's out, so time to mix a soju-and-beer!

For sashimi we got amberjack, salmon, and flatfish.
Live shrimp that are still moving
I was startled at first. I thought I'd seen wrong. The shrimp was moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are actually alive...?
They came out with just the body shell peeled off, heads and tails still on. Shrimp escape attempt? That's how fresh the raw shrimp is at Rigo Susan, folks.
I only know how to eat them, so thank goodness my sibling was there to peel the still-moving shrimp for me~!

My sibling's clever heart-shaped shrimp plating..

The raw shrimp is fresh enough to have no fishy taste, with a firm, chewy texture. The more you chew, the sweeter it gets~!

Sweet and rich all at once. In between bites, I kept dipping the boiled shrimp in chojang too.
Fried shrimp heads
If you set the heads aside, they'll butter-fry them for you.

The fried heads are as good as the shrimp bodies! Crispy on the outside, nutty the more you chew. Dip in tartar sauce for sweet-and-salty perfection! (I don't even bother removing the spiky horns, just eat the whole thing ^^) Even my head-avoiding partner could manage these without any pressure.
Aged salmon and the mixed sashimi plate
The salmon is well-aged, so it's soft with no fishy taste. Tartar sauce + salmon is love 🧡

No fishy taste at all — fresh, and since it's aged, the texture is firm and chewy. Great dipped in chojang, wasabi soy sauce, wrapped in seaweed, or wrapped with perilla leaf + aged kimchi. Filled up on carbs with the California roll in between too~~

Even though this was round two, the food was good enough that we drank happily and well~!
