An authentic pig has entered the chat. Staking the pig family's good name on it, let me introduce Pug Pizza House, a Sillim Station favorite. It's a large restaurant that occupies an entire three-story building, and it's dog-friendly.

Floors 1-2 are for people, while floor 3 is a separate space you can share with your pup. That meant less worrying about fur flying around and a clean, comfortable space to enjoy. But best of all was the pizza itself — here's my review after eating myself silly. 🍕

Floor 1 or floor 2 at Pug Pizza House: which is quieter on a holiday evening?

This is floor 1—

and this is floor 2. On weekdays between 3 and 5pm, dining is only available on floor 1 including the pet zone. *Weekday pet zone break: 3-5pm. I visited on a holiday at 6pm and ate on floor 2, which had fewer people than floor 1, so it was nice and quiet.

I even peeked into the floor 3 entrance hoping to run into a dog, but no luck — I just ended up looking like a suspicious character instead.

What four people ordered: 13-inch half-and-half pizza, bagel edge and basil cream tteok-gnocchi

Let me soothe that disappointment with some seriously good pizza. At Pug Pizza House you can not only order but also pay right at your table. If you have any questions or issues, there's a staff call button, so the tablet system is totally fine.

The four of us boldly ordered a large 13-inch half-and-half pizza with Deutsch Wheat Potato and Mad Max American flavors, changed the whole cheese milk crust to a bagel edge, added a side of basil cream tteokgnocchi (rice cake gnocchi), and got 1 cola, 1 zero-sugar cider, and 2 Pepsi zeros.

Since when does a blogger take portrait-mode shots of food, you ask? I guess after watching The Odyssey everything just looked more epic.

I love that they give you a cup for every person. Even better, you can load up on as much ice as you want. If you're a member of the ice-cold-Americano-forever club, this is the bare minimum, right.

The self-serve pickle and garlic dipping sauce corner

Here's the self-serve corner where you can freely grab tableware, plates, pickles, and sauce. I was genuinely touched that you can take as much pickle and garlic dipping sauce as you want. Small spoiler: dipping the cheese crust edge in garlic dipping sauce is a heavenly experience. Seriously, seriously, seriously. Trust me on this one!

I only visited once and I think I'm already addicted. I swear I can smell pizza somewhere right now. From ordering to the side tteokgnocchi arriving felt like it took under 5 minutes.

Very staged camera moves here. But the pizza smell was genuinely insane, so shoutout to my friends for humoring the content shots.

Deutsch Wheat Potato: the unanimous favorite of all four

Both flavors were delicious, but all four of us unanimously picked the Deutsch Wheat Potato as our favorite. Pug Pizza House's Deutsch Wheat Potato isn't your ordinary potato pizza. It's topped with breaded wedge potatoes, plus smoked sausage and bacon chips added for extra depth of flavor. And with a finishing drizzle of yogurt sauce, it stays delicious all the way through without ever feeling greasy.

Mad Max American, the meaty half of the pizza

Of course the Mad Max American was tasty too. I love olives, and this one was loaded with them, so it was right up my alley. No one hates pepperoni, right? But even if someone genuinely does, you can go half-and-half, so everyone can eat happily together.

Basil cream tteok-gnocchi (chewy rice cake dumplings)

Last but not least! Basil cream tteokgnocchi (rice cake gnocchi) with whole basil leaves mixed in. It's called tteok-gnocchi for a reason — super chewy and springy. The green color made it feel healthy somehow, and it tasted great too — all around a smart choice to order.

Total clear. I'm a pig myself, but even I was pretty full after just two slices.
