44g-protein chicken curry bowl at Prepers, a Sillim rice bowl spot
In short
Prepers Diet Food Sillim Main Branch is a diet-meal chain restaurant spread over two floors near Sillim Station in Gwanak, Seoul. The chicken curry rice bowl (₩10,900) and the pork myeongi-namul (wild chive) rice bowl (₩10,900) were shared between two friends, with 44g of protein in the curry bowl and 45g in the pork bowl. Hi, this is a revisit review of Prepers, a solo-dining spot in Sillim!
I went once a while back and went again this time — I'm on a diet these days haha. This place is a chain famous for its diet meals!
Name: Prepers Diet Food Sillim Main Branch / Location: 1638-16 Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul

How big is Prepers Sillim Main Branch?
This place is reaaally spacious. The 1st floor is big, and the 2nd floor is huge too, and since they also do delivery, the staff were constantly on the move. Even though the store is huge, this Sillim solo-dining spot Prepers had a lot of customers eating alone!

Prepers Sillim Main Branch menu and prices
The meal menu is set up like this. I had the chicken curry rice bowl (₩10,900) and my friend had the pork myeongi-namul rice bowl (₩10,900). I think what I had last time was the pork myeongi-namul bowl. I'll talk about the taste below.

Protein shake, fat-free latte and a nutty americano
Being a diet restaurant, they also sell protein shakes, fat-free lattes, fat-free Greek yogurt, and more. I ordered an Americano and a fat-free latte.
The iced Americano had this... nutty? feel to it — not roasty, more like a sesame-oil kind of nuttiness. It was different but had no sourness, which I liked. It was cheap too, and leftover drinks could be taken to go. The staff kindly asked if I wanted more ice, which made me happy 🙂

They even had an origin label posted! Chicken breast, pork tenderloin, and rice are all domestic (Korean), which felt trustworthy.

The protein content is really solid. Getting enough protein while dieting used to feel like such a hassle and a burden, but if you eat at this Sillim solo-dining spot Prepers, you don't have to worry about protein for the whole day.

Order at the 1st-floor kiosk, eat on the 2nd floor
This is the 1st floor, and you can order at the kiosk!

Guys. This is the 2nd floor. It's basically Lotteria/McDonald's-level huge lol. You could genuinely bring a whole group here, but every time I visit, it's mostly solo diners. I came with a friend and we pigged out together.

Pork myeongi-namul rice bowl: 45g protein that tastes indulgent
Woahh, here's the pork myeongi-namul (wild garlic leaf) rice bowl. This one bowl has a whopping 45g of protein, insane. When you're dieting, you suffer through bland food a lot, but this place lets you taste the good life, so plenty of people come here even when they're not dieting. That said, don't expect mala-yeopttteok or buldak-bokkeummyeon (fire noodles) level spice... it's not that intense, but it does give you that decadent, sinful flavor.

A healthy version of that sinful taste. Purple rice, myeongi-namul (wild garlic leaf), vegetables, bell pepper, and plenty of pork. The pork was tender with no off smell!! There's no sauce drizzled on separately, but the myeongi-namul flavor is strong enough that it works! The bell peppers were tasty too haha — bell peppers and green peppers taste completely different, so give it a try.

How does the 44g-protein chicken curry bowl taste?
Now for mine. Chicken curry rice bowl, 44g protein. The moment I got it, I thought 'that smell is killer..' lol. The curry smell was so fragrant... the flavor wasn't strong, but it was seriously delicious ㅠㅠ It was smooth enough that I wanted more curry, and the meat wasn't tough at all. Personally, I thought the chicken was tastier than the pork!! The chicken was really tender and chewy, with zero dryness.

I really don't like dry meat.. and this genuinely wasn't dry, so it was so good ㅠ The Americano also had no sourness, just a nutty sesame-oil flavor, which I liked, and the sweet bell pepper paired nicely with the slightly spicy curry. The curry was amazing!! If you're new to Prepers, I recommend a curry dish. This one really tastes like sin.

Is one bowl filling enough?
Behold the beautiful figure of 44g of protein. Was the rice too little? Nope, not at all. It was just the right amount to feel pleasantly full. For reference, I'm a lazy dieter... so a serious dieter might find it a bit filling ^^ I'm a piggy so I ate happily and deliciously, and thanks to all that protein, I didn't feel hungry again until evening!! This is a no-BS, genuine review. Next time I revisit this Sillim solo-dining spot Prepers, I'm getting the curry again~
