What is Teppan King in Seomyeon like?
Teppan King (데판킹) is a teppanyaki izakaya on Jungang-daero near Seomyeon Station in Busan, and a great bar for a Seomyeon date. It first started at the Gimhae Yulha branch, and it has since moved to Seomyeon, where it has been loved for a long time~~!!
It's my nth visit here, haha!!!!!! I wanted to show my partner some delicious teppanyaki too, so we came as a date~~
There's a menu board in front of the shop too, so you can check it before you go in~~
What are the seats like at Teppan King?
Teppan King has a variety of tables, including group seats, 4-person tables and 2-person tables!!
There are also cozy window seats that are great for a quiet chat, and counter seats (다찌석, dacci-seok) where you can watch the teppanyaki being cooked right in front of you~~!
The restroom is outside the restaurant, and the door code is posted, so keep that in mind! Tableware is already set at every seat~~
Teppan King menu and Set C
The menu at Teppan King includes steak, okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake), yakisoba, beef tataki, Nagasaki dishes and more!! We came for a proper meal, so we ordered Set C~~!
The griddle fire show from the counter seats
When you sit at the counter at Teppan King, a huge griddle is right in front of you!!! You can watch the owner's amazing teppanyaki skills up close~!
Meat, seafood, vegetables, any ingredient gets stir-fried right there!!!!!! The chop-chop-chop sound was oddly fun!!
It's fun watching the dishes come together, and with the fire show right in front of you, your jaw just drops..!!!!!!

Premium butter-grilled scallop and shrimp
The first dish in Set C is premium scallop and shrimp grilled on the griddle with butter! It comes with fresh scallops, plump shrimp and vegetables!
The scallops were so tender they melted away without any chewing..!!!! The shrimp were super plump and had zero fishy taste, so good!!
Kobe-style wagyu flower rib steak
Next up is the Kobe-style wagyu flower rib steak!!
The wagyu flower rib at Teppan King was super tender, and even after it cooled it wasn't tough at all!!!! Savory, soft beef with crunchy bean sprouts, absolutely delicious!!!
Special okonomiyaki
Last is the special okonomiyaki~!
It's an okonomiyaki packed with shrimp, squid and meat!! Loaded with ingredients and not too salty, so it's a satisfying dish~~!!!!!
Is Teppan King a good Seomyeon bar for a date?
If you're looking in Seomyeon for a place that works for a meal and also for a drink with some atmosphere, I totally recommend Teppan King~~!!
