Busan Indian lunch by Gwangalli Beach: chicken tikka masala, Bollywood
In short
Bollywood Indian Restaurant is an Indian restaurant on the 2nd floor in Gwangan-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, a 1-minute walk from Gwangalli Beach. After a stop near Gwangalli Cafe Street, the writer had half a tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala for lunch at Bollywood, adding cheese naan on the staff's recommendation. Verdict: the crispy-outside, juicy-inside tandoori chicken tasted cleanest dipped in the spinach-based green sauce, and the spicy tomato chicken tikka masala went well with the savory cheese naan.

Inside Bollywood: the restaurant's exotic interior
So since we happened to be near Gwangalli Cafe Street and stopped in for lunch, after ordering half a tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala, we looked around the restaurant. Fitting the exotic, unique, and comfortable atmosphere — like traveling to India itself — we got to look at Indian movie posters and paintings one by one, and

the menu had the history of Bollywood written on it, and it was surprising to learn that Bollywood's curry contains over 30 different spices, along with

before the dishes we ordered came out, they brought cold water, plates, and utensils, perfect for staying cool in this hot summer weather haha

Half tandoori chicken at Bollywood: crispy outside, juicy inside, spicy

First up, the tandoori chicken at this recommended Gwangalli lunch spot is whole chicken marinated in authentic Indian spices and yogurt, then roasted in a tandoor. From the first look, the well-browned, golden color was appetizing, and it came with fries too. Crispy outside, juicy inside, it had a spicy kick reminiscent of Goobne Chicken's spicy crispy chicken, and it was delicious!!
Along with the whole chicken, the tandoori chicken came with a spinach-based green sauce, a tangy-sweet red sauce, onions, pickles, lemon, and more, each nicely prepared — the plating alone was so appetizing,
and while the tandoori chicken meat was delicious on its own, dipping it in the spinach-based green sauce made it clean and even more delicious~
What does Bollywood's chicken tikka masala taste like?
Chicken tikka masala is one of several chicken curries available at Bollywood — a representative Indian masala curry with an onion and tomato base. The dish comes with generous chunks of chicken well soaked in the sauce, plus

ginger and chili too, so overall it had a spicy tomato flavor. The onions seemed to be finely diced throughout, so with every spoonful you could feel bits and pieces to chew on~

Rice or naan with curry? Why we chose cheese naan
The staff recommended that curry tastes better with either rice or naan, so among the many naan varieties, since I usually like cheese, I ordered cheese naan. Naan is traditional handmade Indian bread baked in a tandoor, and cheese naan is a filled naan with various cheeses and herbs baked in,
and along with the savory cheese flavor, pairing it with the chicken tikka masala curry made for a hearty and delicious meal haha
Bollywood's free naan review offer, shisha and cocktails
Bollywood is currently running a Naver receipt review event and a Google review event, so if you participate, you can get one free plain, butter, or garlic naan, and the restaurant also offers a shisha + cocktail combo, which makes it a great place to visit haha. So if you're looking for a delicious, varied Indian restaurant near Gwangalli Beach and Gwangan Station, or a great spot for a date with a unique atmosphere with family, a partner, or friends, come visit this recommended Gwangalli lunch spot and enjoy!!
