Does Bupyeong Yang Gopchang have outdoor patio seats?
There are indoor seats, but there are also patio seats. The patio fills up fast, though. And the weather right now is just perfect for it!

Side dishes and doenjang stew at Bupyeong Yang Gopchang
The side dishes are soft tofu, soy-marinated onion, chili peppers, radish wraps, salad and geotjeori (fresh, unfermented kimchi). Every single one was delicious. The geotjeori in particular has the best savory depth, and it goes so well with the tripe.

They also bring doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) as standard! It was rich, a little salty and clean-tasting. We finished it and got a refill!

Review event and free steamed egg
They run a review event too: write a review and you get one free item, either steamed egg, fried rice or add-on noodles. You can also order without joining the event. Partway through I wanted steamed egg, so I ordered it. It was soft and savory, with the seasoning just right.

Medium seasoned stone pan: what's in it and how it tastes
Here's the medium seasoned stone pan, which came out after a short wait! It has beef heart, small intestine, large intestine and special tripe (teugyang). The color of the sauce was so good! How could it not taste great?

The staff grill everything for you! You can just relax and enjoy the meal! The stone pan is a good amount for a glass of soju. After a while it started bubbling, and a staff member came over to tend it.

Eat the beef heart first
Beef heart turns tough if left too long, so I recommend eating it first~ The chewy texture is so good. The seasoning soaks in, so you don't need any sauce.

Small and large intestine packed with gop (marrow-like fat)
The small intestine was full of gop (the rich, fatty filling). It's nutty and mild, and the fat fills your whole mouth with flavor. Honestly delicious. It whets the appetite even more. There was no gamey smell either, so I kept reaching for more. And it's not just the small intestine: the large intestine was good too! All the tripe at Bupyeong Yang Gopchang was fresh.

Crunchy, chewy special tripe
This one is the special tripe (teugyang)! I loved its crunchy bite. People who like it will honestly eat only this cut. The more you chew, the more plain and clean it tastes. It had no gamey smell at all, either.
Which noodle add-on to order? Glass noodle review
There are three add-on noodles: glass noodles (dangmyeon), udon and ramen. I added one after eating a fair amount of tripe. The staff said udon is the number one pick, but we were craving glass noodles that day, so we ordered those. They cook the noodles first, bring them with sauce, then put them in the pan and toss everything together.

The glass noodles are thin, so they soaked up even more sauce! Chewy and tasty. I think udon would be good too~~~ Next time I'll try the udon if I get the chance. Somehow I feel like it would be great.

Finish with fried rice cooked by the staff
Isn't fried rice the finale?? When you order fried rice at Bupyeong Yang Gopchang, the staff stir-fry it for you with rice, seaweed and sauce! All you have to do is eat, which is so nice! You can tell they've done this more than once or twice!!! They fry it really well.

With sauce this good, fried rice cooked in it can't be bad. And it was delicious. After the fried rice at the end, I felt like I might burst. No misses today!!!
When you want tripe in Nampo-dong, give Bupyeong Yang Gopchang a try~~~~ It's so good. Next time I'm going to order the salt-grilled tripe instead of the seasoned one.
