I was looking for somewhere in Yeouido to have a drink with good snacks in the evening, and ended up at Robadayakki Sodam Yeouido Branch!! Yeouido has plenty of restaurants and bars popular with office workers, but that day I wanted something a little more atmospheric — a Japanese-style bar where I could take my time. Let me introduce Robadayakki Sodam Yeouido Branch~

Robadayakki Sodam Yeouido Branch is located at 17 Yeouidaebang-ro 65-gil, 1F Units 113, 114, 115, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Saetgang Station Exit 1. It's open daily from 17:00 to 01:30 the next day, with last order at 00:30.

What the izakaya looks like outside and inside

Robadayakki Sodam is a Japanese izakaya tucked into a quiet alley in Yeouido, Seoul — a good spot to enjoy drinks calmly rather than in a busy, crowded atmosphere!

It's also easy to get to from Saetgang Station or Yeouido Station, so it's great for anyone searching for restaurants or bars near Saetgang Station or Yeouido Station.

The first thing that caught my eye was the wooden bar counter and the soft lighting — overall it felt like an old-school Japanese izakaya mood reinterpreted in a modern way, giving off a slightly different feeling from a typical bar haha

True to the name robadayaki (charcoal grill cooking), there's a space where fish and skewers are grilled right in front of you, which really added to that Japanese-bar atmosphere.

They were also running a Naver receipt review event! After paying in advance, if you show the screen to staff, they give you vanilla cheese ice cream — definitely worth joining in on haha

True to an izakaya, there's everything from grilled skewers to sashimi, fried dishes, stir-fries, and soup dishes — a wide range of snacks that go well with drinks.

They also serve a variety of drinks — from the draft beer we had to sake, which is a must at any izakaya, and other Japanese liquors, so there's plenty to choose from depending on your taste haha

For anyone who wants something light like beer, or wants to try sake, it was nice having several options.

What we ordered, starting with the free fried egg

After ordering, they brought out a fried egg as a basic side dish! Really nice to have something simple to nibble on before the main dishes arrived haha

You can't skip grilled skewers at an izakaya, right?? >< The set lets you try several kinds at once, so it was fun picking through them.

The mixed skewer set at Robadayakki Sodam Yeouido Branch is 11 kinds, 13 pieces, for ₩24,000. The skewers are easy to eat one by one, so they're a no-pressure drinking snack, and a great menu to share when there are several people haha

Grilled over charcoal, they had that golden-brown look that made them irresistible just to see.

Crispy outside, juicy inside — perfect for picking up one after another with beer.

Before we knew it, one after another, the skewers had disappeared haha the combo of draft beer and skewers really needs no explanation~~!!

Fire-grilled jjamppong, 21,000 won

Along with the skewers, we also ordered the fire-grilled jjamppong — sometimes you just want a soup-based snack, and it was a great pairing.
