There are a lot of solo-dining Korean restaurants in Ingye-dong, but I went to Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk since it opens early and stays open until midnight, so you can eat there anytime.
The name literally means "spicy bone soup," but they actually offer mild and regular spice levels, so spice-sensitive people like me and my friend could eat here without worry.

Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is located at Ingye-dong 1034-3, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, and is open daily from midnight to midnight. On Tuesdays it closes at 9am, and on Wednesdays it opens at 10am.
Where do you park in Ingye-dong?
It's a 10-minute walk from Suwon City Hall Station Exit 6 on the Suin-Bundang Line. By bus, get off at Ingye-dong Community Center or KBS Suwon Center for a 4-minute walk. There are 3 parking spots in front of the shop and over 60 spots in the underground lot behind the building.

It's a comfortable Ingye-dong solo-dining spot from morning until late at night, and there's also space further inside for group dining.
The bones are boiled fresh every day, with a policy of using them up the same day.

We ordered regular-spice bone soup for ₩10,000 and mild-spice udon bone soup for ₩11,000.
The bone soup: generous meat, deep broth
It had been a while since I'd had bone soup, and interestingly there's an udon version, so my friend tried it — turns out it comes with rice too. The udon bone soup comes with both udon noodles and rice, so it's perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy both noodles and rice.
The bone soup itself has a deep, rich broth with plenty of meat. I hadn't been drinking, but between the broth's flavor and the seasoning soaked into the meat, it felt almost like a proper hangover cure.
Can a spice-shy eater handle the regular spice level?
I originally picked mild but switched to regular — and since I'm someone who eats mild-spice Jin Ramen, the regular spice level here was totally manageable and tasty, so spice-sensitive folks can enjoy the regular spice without worry.
If you're craving something really spicy, you can order the Eolkeun Ppyeo Haejangguk as the restaurant's name suggests — but from the reviews, it sounds spicy enough to numb your tongue.
What's on the self-serve banchan bar?
They run a self-serve bar with pickled onions and kkakdugi (radish kimchi) that go well with the bone soup. Since extra side dishes are self-serve, I saw a lot of solo diners in Ingye-dong taking advantage of it.
Since it's open early morning through late at night, it looks like a great spot for people working overtime or eating at odd hours.
Free ice cream and coffee after the meal
The owner was kind too — after we finished eating and were about to head to a nearby café, we found out there's a free dessert service, one per person. Ice cream, haha.
There were a lot of ice cream options, all major brands, so the owner is quite generous. Right by the door there's also self-serve coffee.
Anyone who ordered the eolkeun (spicy) bone soup would probably have their mouth on fire, so I think customers really appreciate this thoughtful touch. I'm not that into ice cream myself, but if I had to pick one, it's melona — and sure enough, they had it. The bone soup portion was so big I was already full, so I went straight to a nearby café for dessert instead and skipped it.
Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is a place I'll probably think of again whenever I want a solo meal in Ingye-dong — a solid, easygoing meal with bone soup.
