On a public holiday, the blogger and a child ordered a half sweet potato, half sun-dried shrimp pizza by QR code at the table, and the thin, crispy dough, plump shrimp and generous sweet potato mousse stood out. Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall is a clean, easy choice for a family meal or pizza and beer with friends.

Hand drip café in Hagik-dong, Incheon: iced Ethiopia Aricha, Tiny Dot

Tiny Dot (타이니닷) is a four-story roastery café in Hagik-dong, Michuhol, Incheon, near the entrance of Juan Hansin Apartments. On the owner's recommendation, the writer ordered Ethiopia Aricha beans as an iced hand drip with Basque cheesecake and an Earl Grey scone, and enjoyed both the fruity coffee and the house-baked desserts. For a quiet cup of specialty hand drip coffee, Tiny Dot's third floor is the place to sit.

Choegang Pizza Main Branch (최강피자 본점) is a takeout-and-delivery pizza shop in the Hallamaeul Complex 3 shopping arcade in Jungdong, Bucheon. The writer picked up a large Combination pizza at Choegang Pizza Main Branch for the family, and the Ember Mill farro dough, made fresh in-house every day, was so chewy and nutty that they ate every last crust. With ₩5,000 off for pickup and ₩7,000 off on Wednesdays, Choegang Pizza Main Branch is a great neighborhood pizza shop for takeout.

Bucheon food hall gift idea: paint-can potato chips, Angry Potato

Angry Potato Hyundai Department Store Jungdong Branch is a potato, chicken and mini burger shop in the B1 food hall of Hyundai Department Store Jungdong in Bucheon. After tasting at the sample corner, the writer took home Can Angry Potato Chips (13,000 won), a large Chewy Potato, 5 pieces of Hot Crunch chicken and Chili's Cheese Sticks. Verdict: the Hot Crunch chicken held up best as takeout, and the paint-can tin of Can Angry Potato Chips works well as a gift, tin and all.

Incheon takeout sushi shop: thick salmon & 11-piece omakase, Minyeong

Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang Moraenae Market Branch is a takeout-only sushi shop inside Moraenae Market in Guwol-dong, Namdong, Incheon. The writer took home an 11-piece omakase sushi set for 18,000 won and a 7-piece salmon sushi set for 10,000 won, and was especially pleased with the careful cooler-bag-and-ice packing and the thick, rich salmon. Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang is market sushi that turned out to be a far more satisfying meal than expected.

Bucheon bakery's Kakao sold-out alerts and 3-loaf menu: Chamsae Bori

Chamsae Bori Sikppang (참새보리식빵) Bucheon main branch is a handmade bread bakery using Korean-grown barley at the Simgok Overpass intersection in Sosa-gu, Bucheon, and it now sells only three sticky barley loaves: Grand Prize, grain and rye. After checking the Kakao Channel sold-out notice, the writer arrived around 12pm on a weekday to find the grain loaf already sold out, and took home 2 Grand Prize loaves (₩6,000 each), 1 rye loaf (₩3,700) and a tub of mascarpone fresh cream. Chamsae Bori Sikppang has no fancy pastries, but its barley loaves are healthy bread worth queuing for in Bucheon.

Jinju naengmyeon restaurant's direct store vs main branch: Songgiwon

Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon Direct Store (송기원진주냉면 직영점) is a Jinju-style naengmyeon (cold noodle) restaurant on Cheonsu-ro in Jinju, Gyeongnam. The writer, who had already been to the main branch, visited on a weekday at 1:30pm, walked in without waiting, found plenty of parking and tried ujeon (pan-fried beef slices), Jinju water naengmyeon and Jinju mixed naengmyeon, which was not too sweet, spicy or salty and easy to finish. Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon Direct Store feels cleaner and more relaxed than the main branch while keeping Songgiwon's signature clean, mild flavor.
