This is a Seokchon Station pizza spot I'd always been curious about since it's always packed whenever I walk by! It's a great place to enjoy the outdoor-table vibe on Songridan-gil, and both the pizza and pasta exceeded expectations, so I'm already planning a repeat visit. Let's go

Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch is a ground-floor restaurant near the entrance of Baekjegobun-ro 41-gil, right at the start of Songridan-gil. You can book through Catch Table, and they also do draft beer takeout, so it's a good spot to grab a cup before heading to Seokchon Lake on a nice day.

Walking along Songridan-gil, there are a few pizza places that are always unusually crowded, and this is one of them! It catches your eye because it's all sparkly

Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch is a Songridan-gil outdoor-seating pizza spot where a lot of guests dine at the outdoor tables. It's lively but not so loud that conversation is hard, so it's really nice for friends or a date. It's completely got that Songridan-gil outdoor dining vibe!

There's quite a bit of seating inside Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch too, and it looked like it could handle anything from two-person tables to groups. Indoor orders are placed via tablet.

They have pretty much all the usual pizzas you'd expect, plus three oven pastas and sides like buffalo wings and chicken tenders. If there's one distinguishing feature, it's that shiitake mushroom shows up in most of the menu! A Seokchon Station spot with all the right stuff for beer snacks

First, wetting my throat with Pepsi Zero. They sell plenty of other drinks too, just so you know~!

Rosé pasta (12,500 won): oven-baked and loaded with cheese

The rosé pasta at Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch is ₩12,500, and since it's an oven pasta, the key is that it comes piled hi-i-igh with cheese. The bowl looked shallower than expected, so I was like huh?

But no... they were surprisingly generous with the cheese, piling it on thick, and they told me to mix it right away, so I mixed it first before anything else. Smothered in cheese like that, it couldn't possibly taste bad, and it's subtly spicy but even people who can't handle spice ate it up fine. It cuts through the richness nicely. This one has shiitake mushroom in it too!

Super Combination Pizza L (32,900 won) plus cheese crust (5,000 won)

The Super Combination Pizza is ₩32,900 for the L size, and adding cheese crust is ₩5,000. The spice level came in three tiers, and I went with the basic (the middle level, which turned out to be the best) flavor first!

Both of us who can't handle spice found it subtly hot, but it was absolutely fine to eat. It tasted like a mix of tomato sauce and hot sauce, and the flavor was rich and deep, which I loved. Even loaded with tons of cheese, it wasn't greasy

A pizza topped with shiitake and button mushrooms, three types of pepperoni, black olives, bell pepper, and house-made bulgogi! The combination of ingredients is so good. I love a combination pizza S2

Just look at that cheese stretch.. they say it's 99% natural mozzarella, and when you actually eat it, it has this fluffy, pillowy texture — you know that delicious, soft cheese feeling!

Why this cheese crust is wide instead of a cylinder

The thin, pan-pizza-like dough was great, but most of all, the cheese crust.. most other pizza places do a cylindrical cheese crust, but here it's really wiiiide hahahahaha

It tastes soft and not greasy at all. I'm definitely adding this every time I come here..
