With the weather cooling down lately, eating something delicious outdoors has been so nice. This time I visited Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch, right next to Seokchon Lake. It's about a 15-minute walk from Jamsil Station and 10 minutes from Seokchon Station, so it wasn't hard to find — and best of all, being near Seokchon Lake meant we could eat and then go for a walk afterward.
Outdoor tables by Seokchon Lake: the setting at Pizza Face Off 😍
What I liked most about Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch was definitely the outdoor dining atmosphere. There are outdoor tables set up in front of the restaurant, and sitting there on a nice day felt like being on a trip.
I went with two friends, and they were also surprised, saying they had no idea a place with such great vibes was hidden in this alley :)
Something I found neat was that there's a separate storage space under the outdoor tables for bags! When you're sitting outside, you usually end up hanging your bag on the chair or putting it on the ground, so having this storage space made things way more convenient.
The Pepsi-themed interior at Pizza Face Off 😜
The inside of Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch had a completely different vibe, and what stood out right away was the Pepsi-themed interior.
There were also Pepsi-related props and goods displayed around, so it was fun to look around — overall it had a casual yet distinctive atmosphere.
All the windows connecting to the inside were left wide open, so even if you sit indoors, you can still enjoy that outdoor-dining feeling :)
Half & Half pizza, 31,900 won: bacon mashed potato + pepperoni 🍕
Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch had a really wide variety of pizza options on the menu. You order via QR code at the table! We went with the Half & Half so we could try two pizzas at once (₩31,900).
What we ordered that day was half bacon mashed potato, half pepperoni! Just looking at it, the pizza was piled high with cheese, which already got us excited before we even took a bite — and when we actually tried it, the cheese pulled in these amazing long strings, so good!!!!!! The bacon mashed potato half especially stood out to me. The mashed potato just melted in my mouth and paired perfectly with the pizza, and with the salty bacon added on top, I kept reaching for more.
We also added cheese crust to the pizza, and that was a delicacy on its own. Since there's cheese all the way to the edge, even the leftover crust after finishing the pizza was delicious to eat.
Why the tomato oven pasta is a must-order 🍝
Out of everything we had at Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch that day, the tomato oven pasta was personally the most memorable for me. Right off the bat, it was loaded with so much cheese that the visual alone was on point.
The noodles were on the thinner side, which paired really well with the tomato sauce (I'm personally a fan of thin noodles, haha), and with all that melted cheese on top, it was just as good as the pizza. Above all, there was a ton of pepperoni in it. The tangy tomato sauce, the salty pepperoni, and the stretchy cheese all worked together so well. Usually when you go to a pizza place you think the pizza is the main event, but this time the pasta was just as good, which made the whole meal feel even more satisfying.
A walk around Seokchon Lake after dinner 🚶
Another great thing about Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch is that there's plenty to enjoy nearby. Right next door there are all kinds of restaurants, including raw fish spots with an outdoor-dining feel, so it's easy to go for a second round depending on the mood.
If you want a light walk after eating like we did, I'd recommend strolling around Seokchon Lake right next door. Delicious pizza and pasta followed by a walk to Seokchon Lake made for the perfect course. If you're looking for an outdoor dining spot in Jamsil, a good restaurant near Seokchon Lake, or a date spot in Jamsil, this is a place worth checking out. Especially if you love pizza piled high with cheese, I'd definitely recommend trying the bacon mashed potato pizza together with the tomato oven pasta :)
