Songdo Central Park bakery, Acria 2 parking: garlic salt bread, Tomoru

In short

Tomoru Bakery (송도토모루베이커리) is a rice-flour bakery on the first floor of the Acria 2 building near Songdo Central Park in Yeonsu, Incheon. On a night visit the writer took home honey castella, a red bean bun, a chocolate muffin, pollock roe and garlic salt bread, and coconut cookies, and despite mixing up the Acria 1 and Acria 2 parking entrances, left without trouble thanks to the 20-minute free turnaround. Tomoru Bakery is a Songdo bakery worth stocking up at for several days of breakfasts and snacks.

Tomoru Bakery has a branch in my own neighborhood too, and it's a bakery I love. So here's my happy review of the delicious bread I took home from the Tomoru Bakery near Songdo Central Park.

Where do you park for Tomoru Bakery?

Tomoru Bakery is on the first floor of the Acria 2 building, so you park in Acria Building 2, and I was told parking is supported for up to 4 hours. The free turnaround is 20 minutes, which is plenty if you're just picking up bread to go.

Parking information for the Acria 2 building where Tomoru Bakery is located

Acria 1 and Acria 2 are right next to each other, so I got confused about the parking entrance and parked at Acria 1, and when I came out I realized Tomoru is in building 2 (T_T). Luckily both buildings allow a 20-minute turnaround, so grabbing my takeout was no problem.

Tomoru Bakery's shop and rice-flour bread

Tomoru Bakery is a Songdo Central Park bakery that bakes with rice flour (gararussal), and it has outdoor tables too. There's a Tomoru in my neighborhood as well, and since I was visiting Songdo, I dropped in.

They say the rice flour makes the breads chewier and the pastries easier on the stomach. Gararussal is a rice variety newly developed for flour, so it can be milled easily without soaking. It's a rice-flour bakery worth a bread pilgrimage.

When you walk in, you line a tray with parchment paper, grab the tongs, and pick your bread.

There are outdoor tables too, so on a nice day you can eat outside.

It's hot right now, but in spring or fall I bet a drink and bread outside would taste even better.

What kinds of bread does Tomoru Bakery have?

Tomoru Bakery has a huge range: refrigerated breads, honey castella, walnut pie, manju-style buns, red bean buns, ciabatta, health breads, salt bread, sangtu cookies (traditional topknot-shaped cookies), cookies, financiers, muffins, roll cakes, fruit cakes and rusks. Since it's a chain, I recognized the breads from my neighborhood branch, which was nice to see.

The refrigerated breads come in lots of varieties too.

The honey castella looked delicious and the price was good, so it was the first thing I grabbed :)

There's walnut pie, manju-style buns and red bean buns too. I picked a red bean bun as well :)

Display of ciabatta and health breads

This Songdo Central Park bakery also has ciabatta and health breads. Being a chain, it carries the same breads I see in my neighborhood, which was nice. When the dujjonku (Dubai chewy cookie) craze was in full swing, I bought loads at my local Tomoru, but it seems they don't sell them anymore.

Everything from the salt bread on looked so good that I couldn't decide what to pick (T_T_T)

They sell sangtu cookies too.

Tomoru is a cookie specialist, so whenever I need a gift I often give a cookie set. There's a separate gift wrapping fee, but I really recommend it as a present.

The Songdo branch has the same cookies as my neighborhood one, so I picked up my favorite coconut cookies. I love the coconut ones, but honestly the other cookies are all delicious too (T_T). They go perfectly with an iced Americano.

They have financiers and muffins too. My husband likes choco muffins, so I picked one of those as well.

Roll cakes and fruit cakes are on offer too. I visited at night, so some varieties were sold out (T_T)

You can also buy rusks in different flavors.

Purchased bread and salt bread on a tray

These are the breads I bought. There were pollock roe salt bread and garlic salt bread, and I was curious, so I got 4 salt breads.

The drink menu is also reasonably priced.

How did the takeout bread from Tomoru Bakery taste?

I paid ₩100 extra for a bag and took my bread home from Tomoru Bakery. The choco muffin, honey castella, pollock roe and garlic salt breads, and coconut cookies were all delicious over a few days of breakfasts and snacks.

Tomoru Bakery choco muffin

Choco muffin and honey castella

The choco muffin was moist with a rich chocolate flavor, just what a choco muffin should be. It went well with milk.

The honey castella, which I shared with my kid for breakfast the next morning!

My kid said it tasted like honey and was delicious, and it really was sweet, soft and moist, living up to the name honey castella. It was great for breakfast too.

the salty, nutty pollock roe salt bread too! With an iced Americano it was so good and made me want more.

Tomoru Bakery coconut cookies

Coconut cookies and whether I'd return

Tomoru's coconut cookies, which I really love, kept disappearing one after another. I took delicious bread and cookies home from this Songdo Central Park bakery and enjoyed them happily for days.

If you're looking for a good bakery in Songdo, I highly recommend Tomoru Bakery. I'd go back 1000000%!!
