I had a training session in Songdo for the first time in a while, so I stopped by Tomoru Bakery (송도토모루베이커리), a well-loved bakery near Songdo Central Park. The owner is both a master confectioner and a master baker, so I felt I could visit with confidence.

The quality of each bread is impressive, and it was already famous as a Songdo Triple Street bakery. From sandwiches that work for lunch to basic salt bread and my personal favorite, the sausage bread, everything felt strongly rooted in the basics.

Tomoru Bakery's shelves hold refrigerated sandwiches and mammoth bread, plus sandwich loaves, salt bread, baguettes, cookies for gifts, sausage bread, choco snail bread and Dubai chocolate baguettes. It also sells 100% animal-based fresh cream separately.

Tomoru Bakery is the first place that comes to mind for a bakery near Senteureolpakeu Station. Walking in, I noticed the refrigerated breads, from sandwiches to mammoth bread. They even sell 100% animal-based fresh cream, which would go nicely with the sandwich loaf sold alongside it!

From sandwich loaves that almost everyone likes, to salt bread, baguettes and gift cookies, the variety made me want to buy one of everything. With natural starter, antibiotic-free eggs and no artificial additives, it also felt good to eat with a child.

From sausage bread to choco snail bread and Dubai chocolate baguettes, there were plenty of unique, characterful breads, even among the bakeries around Songdo Central Park, so browsing was fun. They use domestically produced Maekseon organic flour, which gave me even more confidence that it's healthy.

There were also the baguette and butter tteok (butter rice cake), said to be Tomoru Bakery's signature items, but I wanted to eat warm bread on the day it was baked, so I kept promising myself next time..!

Pastry pizza bread and sausage croissant
Tomoru Bakery's pastry pizza bread is generously topped with olives, sausage and cheese, and the crisp pastry texture stood out. The sausage croissant paired a flaky croissant with snappy sausage, and the combination worked well.

Pollock roe and scallion baguette, sliced to go and reheated the next day
The staff kindly cut the whole roe and scallion baguette (명란대파바게트) for me before packing it. Stored in the fridge and microwaved for 20–30 seconds the next day, it was still good.

Egg tart, butter tteok and garlic bread
Tomoru Bakery's egg tart and butter tteok melted in my mouth, and the butter tteok was just right with an iced Americano after a meal. The garlic bread, a crisp baguette with a slightly bitter garlic aroma, worked as a snack or a side bread.
