Plant-filled café open late in Yangju: 30+ seat long table at Doasis
In short
Doasis is a large bakery café near Deokjeong Station in Yangju, Gyeonggi, set in a converted bathhouse and styled like a botanical garden. The writer stopped by Doasis late one afternoon with a younger friend who had been feeling cooped up, picked out 5 breads and 3 drinks, chatted comfortably at a seat among the plants, and took the leftover bread home. With easy parking and hours until 11 PM, Doasis is a good choice when it's getting late and there's nowhere else to go.

Doasis, a Yangju outing café for a late afternoon
Doasis, the big bakery café near Deokjeong Station in Yangju, is the place I thought of when I suddenly needed somewhere to go late in the afternoon. A friend (a younger woman I'm close to) said she felt stifled and wanted to get out, but when we actually tried to leave it was so late that I couldn't think of a good spot for an outing.
I had once been to a big café with an unusual interior near Deokjeong Station in Yangju, so I took her there, and her reaction was sooo good. So here's the story of our visit to Doasis, the Yangju bakery café that looks like a botanical garden.
Doasis opening hours and parking
Doasis is on the 2nd and 3rd floors at 25-5 Hwahap-ro 1402beon-gil, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. The main 2nd floor is open daily 10:00–23:00 (last order 22:00), and the 3rd floor 10:00–21:00 (last order 20:55). After 21:00 only the 2nd floor operates, and the parking space is large.
The building used to be a bathhouse, so it's quite big and spacious. The parking lot in front is roomy and easy to use, and for now you can park without paying anything.

We headed to the Doasis café through the 1st-floor entrance.
We used the 2nd- and 3rd-floor café. If you come with a dog, you can't use the 2nd or 3rd floor; you have to use the 4th-floor dog run.
Inside Doasis, the botanical café converted from a bathhouse
The 2nd floor of Doasis is like a botanical garden, with plants growing in the old bathhouse tubs. When you take the elevator up and step out onto the 2nd floor, you'll be surprised by how wide and big the space is.
Following the bathhouse concept, Doasis planted greenery in the tubs, creating an unusual café atmosphere.

As you wander around the huge space, the green plants ease your eyes and calm your mind. Even though it's a big café, the plants screen things off so you don't bump into other people, and my friend loved that.

A banquet-style long table that seats 30+
The most eye-catching thing on the 2nd floor of Doasis is the banquet-hall-style table. The long table seats more than 30 people and looks stylish for a special event.

A spot for looking at art, and floor seats with outlets
Besides the botanical-garden view, there's a spot where paintings and screen artwork on the walls make it feel like a gallery, a healing place to enjoy looking at art.
There's also a spot where you can take off your shoes and stretch your legs out to relax. It has outlets, so lots of people who brought laptops use this area.

Staircase photo zone and glass ceiling
The stairs going up to the 2nd floor are decorated with a Christmas feel, which makes a good photo zone. The center, which connects to the 3rd floor, has a high ceiling made of glass windows, and the open feeling and pretty lighting make Doasis look even more beautiful.
It was a weekday, so the 3rd floor wasn't open. It also has lots of tables and plenty of space, but the 2nd floor has far more plants, so personally I prefer the 2nd floor.
Does Doasis have a nursing room and baby chairs?
The 2nd floor of Doasis has a nursing room (Suyu-sil) and several baby chairs. This Yangju bakery café is easy to use without hassle even for a family outing.

Doasis bakery menu and drinks
On the 2nd floor of Doasis there's a counter where you order bread and drinks.

There are personal plates, bread knives, forks, tissues, disposable gloves and disposable bags to take as needed, and you can warm your bread in the microwave.
True to a big café, Doasis in Yangju offers a wide variety of bakery items that win over visitors.

From the basics like nutty plain croissants, sweet red bean buns and soft sandwich loaves,

to green tea injeolmi (rice cake) bread covered in roasted soybean powder, cream cheese brioche piled with cream cheese and blueberries, and blueberry brioche, the case was full of great-looking breads. My friend and I struggled with decision paralysis over what to eat.
The bakery at Doasis is made with fresh ingredients and careful hands, and it was the moment I had to admit this is a Yangju bakery café that anyone, young or old, can enjoy without any hit-or-miss...
The drinks are varied too, from basic coffees like espresso and americano to lattes, ades, smoothies and teas,

and the fridge sells drinks kids will like as well as beer for the grown-ups.
Now let's load up the tray with what we want to try. Haha

The origins of the ingredients are clearly posted too, so you can pick your menu with peace of mind.

A café that shares bread with elderly people living alone
Through its "delicious bread sharing" program, Doasis donates bread every day to elderly people living alone (via the Yangju Dasarang Home Care Senior Support Service Center). It's a kind-hearted café.

Automatic checkout with the AI bread scanner
At the Doasis counter, you put your bread down and an AI bread scanner calculates the price automatically. So cool!

5 breads and 3 drinks at Doasis: what did it cost?
My friend and I ordered 5 breads and 3 drinks at Doasis. Here's what we got.
- White roll ₩7,000
- Walnut loaf ₩5,800
- Pandoro ₩5,500
- Gongju chestnut bread ₩5,000
- Green tea injeolmi ₩7,500
- Strawberry yogurt smoothie ₩8,500
- Savory americano ₩4,500
- Grapefruit ade ₩7,500
Seeing all that bread got us so excited that we definitely picked up too much......

Bread boxes are ₩1,000 for large and ₩500 for small, so you can take bread to go. (If there's any left, we'll pack it up, haha)
With the pandoro, walnut loaf, Gongju chestnut bread, white roll and green tea injeolmi piled on the tray, I felt full just looking at it, which put me in such a good mood. Haha
The strawberry yogurt smoothie, iced americano and grapefruit ade came out.

Doasis, where every seat among the plants makes a pretty photo
My friend carried her drinks and bread around, wandering here and there to decide where to sit and eat. She also took lots of photos and sent them to her husband, so sweet.

With so many green plants, you feel comfortable wherever you sit and the photos come out pretty, so Doasis is a real photo spot. Haha

Was the bread we took home good too?
Whatever bread I ate, the atmosphere made it taste even better. My friend, who took the leftover bread home, said it was even tastier at home and called Doasis a great bread spot. Haha My husband also said the texture and taste of the green tea injeolmi and white roll were so good that he wanted us to go to Doasis together.

Since we ordered lots of bread, we ordered plenty of drinks too, so the two of us never got thirsty. We ended a relaxed day chatting comfortably in the botanical café atmosphere.
Who is Doasis right for?
Doasis was a Yangju bakery café and large café where you can feel botanical-garden calm in an unusual converted bathhouse. The big parking lot makes parking easy, and with so much bread and so many drinks, it's a good place for people of all ages to have a nice time. It works for family outings, couples' dates and chatting with friends, and even for spending time alone with a laptop. How about visiting Doasis, close to Deokjeong Station?
