Indoor date café in Yangju: iced omija tea, green tea injeolmi, Doasis

I went on a date to Doasis, a bakery café in Yangju. 💗 I thought I'd already been to plenty of great bread places around Uijeongbu and Yangju, but I'd been missing this huge café all along! It's really pretty, the bread is delicious, and the prices are kind for such a big place. The bread seems to keep changing too, so it's a must-stop on any bread tour ✨ And if you want something other than bread, you can get brunch like pizza, pasta and salad.

Where is Doasis in Yangju, and what are the parking and hours?

Doasis is about 500m from Exit 1 of Deokjeong Station, and the large parking lot is free. It's open 10:00-23:00 (last order 22:00), and the 3rd floor closes at 21:00.

It's near Deokjeong Middle School, so it's easy to find. It's in a very big building you can spot from far away, so this large Yangju café really stands out. The parking lot is huge too, so parking is easy.

A former bathhouse turned botanical garden café

The café at Doasis starts on the 2nd floor of the building. (Unique, right?) It used to be a bathhouse building and was renovated into this place. With the botanical garden concept, it's packed with plants inside.

It spans the 2nd and 3rd floors. The 2nd floor runs until 11 p.m. and the 3rd floor closes at 9 p.m. When I went up to the 3rd floor, there was a huge tree. It really hit me that winter is coming. The weather turned pretty chilly today, didn't it? Is another year really passing by like this... Still, the tree that wraps up 2026 is so pretty! 🎄

What kinds of seats does Doasis have?

There are floor-seating tables on both sides of the stairs up to the 3rd floor. They look comfortable for sitting and passing the time. 😊 There are smaller trees on the stairs too, which were so pretty, and there's a giant teddy bear here. Maybe because it's 2,000 pyeong (about 6,600 sq m), the scale feels big. It's fun to wander around and look at everything.

There are all kinds of seats around the café. There's a floor-seating table up a few steps like a rooftop, which felt really unique. The long, big table was distinctive too. In some spots you can take off your shoes and sit freely, and there are even outlets at each seat. There's also a spot that feels like an art gallery, which was pretty.

Self-packing bar and microwave at Doasis

There's a self-packing bar off to one side near the Doasis counter. You can neatly pack whatever bread you have left over and take it home. You can also warm your bread up in the microwave, and there are forks, knives and other extras.

When to go to Doasis before the bread sells out

It seems Doasis makes its roughly 50 kinds of bakery items and desserts and sells them the same day. Go late and a lot of the bread seems to sell out, so if you're coming for a bread tour, it's better to be a bit early. I went at an in-between hour in the afternoon, and even then some things were sold out.

There was a range from the most basic breads to distinctive ones. Prices felt cheaper than other bakery cafés in Yangju. There was a new pollock roe baguette too, but sadly it was already sold out when I went, so I got the popular green tea injeolmi (rice cake) bread. The pandoro here is a kind ₩5,500. The scones are good here too. Recommended for scone lovers ✨

At Doasis, you pick your bread and an AI scans it and calculates the price automatically. Such a cool, cutting-edge system! 😊 The staff are all super kind, explain things well, and have lovely smiles.

How much are drinks at Doasis?

An americano at Doasis is ₩4,500, lattes are in the ₩7,000 range, and smoothies in the ₩8,000 range. Since it serves brunch meals, it sells beer and highballs too.

Since you can have brunch meals here, alcohol is sold too. It looks great for a casual beer or highball. I'm a bread lover, so I went all in on bread and drinks. 💗 We sat side by side at a table with a fluffy sofa. I loved all the green plants around. They say there are over 300 trees brought in directly from Jeju Island. The palm trees made me feel calm and relaxed!

How do the Hawaiian Oasis and iced omija tea taste?

For our date drinks, I ordered Doasis's signature Hawaiian Oasis and iced omija (five-flavor berry) tea. The colors of the drinks are so, so pretty. 💗

The Hawaiian Oasis is Doasis's signature menu item. It's a sweet and tangy pineapple juice. It lets you taste the tropics, just like the palm trees here. It goes really well with bread! There's a real piece of pineapple on a mini umbrella. Enjoy! 😊

The omija tea comes hot or iced. I ordered it iced. It's full of the tangy taste of omija, and they really put in a lot of omija. The flavor was strong, which made it even better! 💗

Castella and chocolate bread: good value for the price

These days lots of big cafés charge around ₩10,000 for a drink, but Doasis felt kind on price for its scale. The bread felt reasonable too, and the taste was really good, so I was satisfied. My companion was especially happy with the castella (sponge cake), saying it was super soft, moist and delicious. As for me, the chocolate bread was so good I ate it without stopping. Hehe

Is Doasis a good indoor date café in Yangju on a chilly day?

The cups at Doasis are big and the drinks quite generous, so they were nice to sip while relaxing for about 2 hours. It's a big place where you can take your time without feeling awkward, so it felt no-pressure. Now that the weather is getting chilly, we'd been needing an indoor date spot like this, and it was perfect for us!

The tables are spaced wide apart, so it was great for private chats too, hehe. Next time I'd like to visit in the morning, too. I want to browse the full bread shelves and pick from them. It's a bread spot I'd like to make my winter hideout, and a very good date place.
