Red-brown dye and hair clinic for long hair: Maple Hair, Gwangmyeong

I realized it's been almost 3 months since I last dyed my hair....?? No wonder every time I look in the mirror lately my hair just looks like a broom.... (photo coming up later....)

So I kept thinking about changing my hair color lately, but my hair also felt really damaged, so this time I decided not to just dye it but get a clinic treatment too to take care of my hair health!

After looking around, the place I visited was Maple Hair Gwangmyeong Sageori Station Branch, a Gwangmyeong hair salon! I got exactly the color I wanted, so I'm satisfied. Let's start today's honest dye review!

Where is Maple Hair Gwangmyeong Sageori Station Branch, and what are its hours?

Maple Hair Gwangmyeong Sageori Station Branch is on the 2nd floor of 874-1 Gwangmyeong-ro, Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do. Hours are Mon–Fri 10:30–20:30 and Sat–Sun 10:30–20:00. There's no parking at the salon, so they recommend the Hanjin Jonghap Sangga parking lot (₩500 per 10 minutes).

Finding the salon entrance from the street

The location was really nice!! It's only about a 3-minute walk from Gwangmyeong Sageori Station on Line 7, so it was super convenient to get to by public transit haha

The first thing I felt walking in was that the interior was more spacious and comfortable than I expected!! The overall vibe was natural and relaxed, so even sitting through a long treatment didn't feel stuffy :)

At the end of the hallway there's the shampoo room. The view was prettier than expected so I took a photo hehe

Price list, discounts and the 100 won donation

There's a discount for first-time visitors, and an extra discount if you write a Naver review, so it might be worth checking before you go!

And there was something else I really liked — the donations?! Maple Hair donates ₩100 for every single customer visit!! (respect, respect)

What the premium full dye + Clinic Set B (long hair) includes

This time I got the premium full dye + Clinic Set B (long hair) treatment! Since my hair is quite long, I figured a full dye would cost a fair amount, but getting the dye and clinic together as a set turned out to be pretty good value haha! If you have long hair, it's worth comparing the set menus too!

Choosing a red-brown color in consultation

I was treated by Deputy Director Jueun, and I really loved how thorough the consultation was! I wanted a red-brown color, with the red leaning a bit stronger, but instead of just deciding based on the color alone, she considered my personal color too and helped me figure out what would actually suit me best!! She carefully checked the vibe I wanted, and mixed in the tint perfectly while dyeing :-)

Before starting the treatment, they brought me a drink and snacks so I wouldn't get bored during the long session! (How did they know I'm obsessed with chapssalsun (sweet rice snack),,,) All these little touches added up to make the whole experience really comfortable haha

From scalp protector to dye application

This is the scalp protector they spray on before applying the actual dye to protect the scalp! The second it was sprayed, my whole scalp felt insanely cooling, but on top of the cooling, the refreshing tea tree scent was so nice ㅠㅠ

Then the real dyeing time! The deputy director's hands moved so fast, but she was also incredibly thorough at the same time?!! She applied the dye carefully all the way down to the side sections without missing a spot haha

There was a moment during the treatment that really made me feel how considerate she was. Dyeing takes a pretty long time, right! But before heading to wash it out, she asked me first if I might need to use the restroom!!!! Being taken care of down to such a small detail as an introvert — I was so touched.

Clinic treatment and curling iron styling results

After the clinic treatment, she blow-dried it quickly and neatly~

And the final highlight — curling iron styling! Her hands moved so fast, whoosh whoosh whoosh, and the curls came out way prettier than the curls I spend nearly an hour on at home lol ㅠㅠ I loved the hair color already, but once the styling was done I suddenly wanted to take photos... In the end, even though I had no plans, I just wandered around outside taking a ton of solo photos lol!

This is exactly the color I wanted~~~ I just keep feeling happy looking at my hair~~

The four-leaf clover gift and the 100 won donation box

After the hair service is done, they give you a cute little lucky four-leaf clover as a gift, and it's seriously so adorable,,, I already had one in my wallet, and getting another one means double the luck (that's how it works, right) You all should get pretty hair and a lucky four-leaf clover too!!

This is the ₩100 donation I mentioned earlier!! What's fun about this donation is that customers get to put the ₩100 into the donation box themselves haha I joined in on the donation too~~

Hehehe they also took a photo of me in front of the mirror halfway down the stairs to the salon. Whenever your hair turns out great, you gotta take a photo every time you pass a mirror like this haha

Is this salon worth it for long hair coloring?

This time everything was satisfying overall, from the dye color to the clinic treatment to the styling, at Maple Hair Gwangmyeong Sageori Station Branch, a Gwangmyeong hair salon!
