Craft beer bar in Jemulpo, Incheon with live sound: Incheon Beer Tiger

On a lovely Friday night, I visited Incheon Beer Tiger, a hot spot in Dongincheon!

Hasn't the weather been wonderfully cool lately? The heat has completely faded, there’s a gentle breeze, and it feels like such a shame to stay home in this season.

So not long ago, my husband and I headed out to Dongincheon for a Friday-night outing for the first time in ages.

We’d heard there was a place in Dongincheon with an amazing atmosphere and delicious craft beer, so we rushed over to Incheon Beer Tiger (인천맥주 호랑이).

Incheon Beer Tiger location and hours

The address is 3 Jemullyang-ro 218beon-gil, Incheon Art Platform Building H, 1F, Jung-gu, Incheon. It is near Open Port Street and Sinpo-dong.

Hours are 16:00–24:00 Tuesday through Friday and 13:30–24:00 Saturday through Sunday, and it is closed every Monday. Tucked among the quiet, retro alleys distinctive to Sinpo-dong and Open Port Street, even the walk there was full of retro charm.

It is in just the right location for a Dongincheon food tour or a date.

Dongincheon’s exotic nighttime atmosphere

At night, Dongincheon has its own exotic mood, with lights and old buildings mingling along every alley.

Even the street view from outside before we entered was absolutely fantastic. The cool vibe drifting out from the venue and the beautiful nighttime street scene had me properly excited from the moment we walked in.

Among the restaurants and bars around Sinpo-dong, this one had an unmistakably standout atmosphere.

Weekend live stage and in-house sound

When we opened the door, the high ceiling and stylish interior immediately caught my eye. What especially stood out was the live-performance stage set up on one side.

Everything was perfectly set up, from the drums and keyboard to the amps.

It is a music space with performances every weekend, and they announce the weekend lineup on Instagram.

We visited on a Friday this time, so sadly we did not get to see a live performance, but

the music coming through the venue sounded different.

The speakers sounded so good that my ears were happy the entire time we drank our beer. The grand yet clean sound made the whole space feel so cool. Next time, I’m definitely coming back for a weekend live show.

Craft beer ordered by QR code

Ordering was easy with a smartphone through the QR code placed at each table.

The menu was packed with a varied lineup of Incheon craft beers that are not easy to come across normally.

We started by ordering their signature Gaehang-ro Lager and Banana White, which had a lovely subtle aroma.

The Gaehang-ro Lager was smooth and wonderfully refreshing, while the Banana White was delicious thanks to its restrained aroma and clean finish. Anyone who loves craft beer is bound to fall for these.

Mild, salty pizza that paired beautifully with beer

We also ordered pizza to bring out the beer’s flavor.

Fresh from the oven, the pizza had a mild, savory-salty crust reminiscent of wood-fired pizza, making it the perfect beer snack.

Along with pizza, there is a wide range of food, from sides such as tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and fries to more substantial dishes. It is a great Dongincheon bar and restaurant for either the first stop of the night or a second round.

Friday visit: final thoughts and tip

I was disappointed not to catch a live performance this time, but the fantastic nighttime street view, music sound, excellent craft beer, and pizza still made for a perfect Friday night.
