A quiet izakaya near Yeongdeungpo Station

Today, I went to Yeongdeungpo with a close older friend for the first time in ages!! I personally love the Mullae Creative Village streets, and since they are close to Yeongdeungpo, it is nice to combine the two~~ They each have their own charm, so we wander around looking at the streets, pop into any little lifestyle shops that catch our eye, and walk into a café that looks nice for a coffee with no plan at all. These small joys give me a sense of calm and remind me how precious everyday life is, haha 💛

Neither my friend nor I likes loud places, so we looked for a quiet, cozy izakaya!! It was close to Yeongdeungpo Station and right behind Times Square, so getting there was easy.

Even from the outside, it was giving total izakaya vibes!!

From solo seats downstairs to rooms upstairs

The first floor is divided into solo seats that look great for drinking alone... and tables for two or more people. As we swooshed farther inside,

Oh... the atmosphere was good... There were seats like this for two or more people. They were separate from the solo-seat area, which made them feel even cozier. The table with the eco bag hanging on the right is where I sat, hahaha. The vibe was so nice that I immediately claimed an inside table.

I was curious, so I came upstairs, hahaha. It had a slightly brighter feel than the first floor!! haha There were windows and brighter lights. You can choose according to your preference~~ There are seats for bigger groups and private rooms here too..!! It would be nice for a date with your parents, and also perfect for a whole crowd of friends~~

Ordering Nagasaki seafood nabe and daechang skewers

Once seated, you can check the menu through a QR code like this. Everything looked delicious, so choosing was hard... They had lots of sake varieties, and only delicious-sounding highball flavors. Draft beer was Asahi too..!! Such a proper izakaya!! hahaha We ordered the mild Nagasaki seafood nabe (Japanese-style seafood hot pot, ₩28,000), daechang skewers (grilled beef large intestine skewers, ₩12,000), and an Earl Grey highball (₩9,000)!!

The cabbage that came as the basic snack.. why was it so good.. hahahaha We got one more refill, hahaha. The sauce was savory and salty, so I kept reaching for it. Great drinking snack...

And this Earl Grey highball!!! It was seriously so good... Earl Grey highballs are often bitter or bland, but this one was sweet and intensely fragrant—totally my style~~ (I sipped it little by little to make it last. Hehe.. '◡')

A seafood nabe I loved because it was not salty

The Nagasaki seafood nabe~~ The weather was slowly getting chilly, so I ordered it simply because I wanted a warm soup, hahaha, but the seasoning was just right and it was delicious!! I personally really cannot eat salty food, but this was exactly right for my taste, haha. It had lots of bean sprouts, and the seafood was good too. Especially the shrimp..!! As a shrimp lover, my mouth was very happy.. hehe..

Tender daechang skewers that disappeared in seconds

And the daechang skewers!!!!!!!!! They were seriously so delicious, hahaha. They were tender and soft, so we demolished them in no time.. You dip them in some kind of powder, and it was just salty enough that they did not feel greasy.. I wanted to order another round... hahahaㅠ The peppers were spicy too, but addictive, so I kept eating them, hahaha. (In the end, I ate them all..)

Yep.. gone in seconds.... hahahahaha Including the peppers.. ^^ hahahahaha I actually wanted to try other skewers too, but I was too full to order them. Eating delicious food while having a gentle chat with someone I like made me quietly happy. When we came outside, the clouds, lightly tinted by the sunset, were so cute. ☁

The weather was lovely today, so we went wherever our feet took us while looking up at the sky!! I was a liiittle sad to see summer go, but feeling the cool air again made even my heart feel refreshed. We walked toward Mullae-dong, filling our eyes with the autumn sky~~ What a happy day~~(*ˊᗜˋ*)🤍
