Gangnam wine bar dinner with fresh ragu pasta: Geullodeu
In short
Geullodeu is a wine bar in Gangnam, Seoul, serving charcoal- and wood-fired Western dishes. I paired non-alcoholic white wine and sparkling wine with white ragu pasta and chewy Korean pork. Geullodeu is a memorable pick for an anniversary dinner date.

On an early-September weekend, after visiting a pop-up at Lotte World Mall in Jamsil, I wanted a lovely dinner, so I went to Geullodeu (글로드), a popular anniversary restaurant in Apgujeong. Let me introduce this Apgujeong wine bar, a great spot for an anniversary date with its feel-good atmosphere, refined Western food, and recommended wines :)

Geullodeu location and things to know before visiting
Geullodeu is a five-minute walk from Exit 2 of Apgujeong Station, near Sinsa-dong and the Dosan Park intersection, making it a great Apgujeong wine bar for an anniversary date. Valet parking is available before 9 PM on weekdays and weekends, for ₩5,000 in cash or ₩6,000 by card. Children are not allowed in the hall, but they can accompany you if you book a room.
They offer birthday and anniversary lettering if you reserve through Naver after following their notifications. The reservation deposit is ₩20,000 per person for a hall table and ₩50,000 per person for a private room.
A cozy interior separated from the hall
Head up to the second floor and you will see Geullodeu's cozy, polished entrance, separated from the hall; after confirming your reservation, they guide you to your table. The interior was more spacious than the exterior suggested, and the kitchen and hall tables were arranged separately, so we could have a private meal. Even the tables by the window had such a lovely atmosphere for a date that I could see why it is popular as an anniversary restaurant.

Charcoal- and wood-fired food, plus wine and non-alcoholic options
The menu includes white bread, asparagus, salad, Korean beef tartare, scallop adductor muscle, ceviche, bone marrow, sun-dried tomato and namul (seasoned vegetable) pasta, cuttlefish tapenade pasta, beef short ribs, lamb chops and Korean beef steak, Bonghwa duck, grilled fish, maesil (Korean plum) ice cream, and chocolate Basque cheesecake. Fitting for a place where you can enjoy wines with seasonal ingredients cooked over charcoal and firewood, Geullodeu has an extensive wine list as well as non-alcoholic options.
For 750 ml wine only, you may bring up to one bottle when purchasing one bottle of wine from the restaurant.

Non-alcoholic white wine and sparkling wine
We were shown to a sofa table inside with a partial divider. When we told them what we wanted to order, they recommended non-alcoholic wine, so we ordered one glass of non-alcoholic white and one glass of sparkling wine ✨️
- Non-alcoholic white wine ₩17,000
- Sparkling wine ₩15,000
At Geullodeu, ordering one bottle of alcohol is mandatory when having dinner, and corkage costs ₩50,000 per bottle, so please keep that in mind.

Freshly made white ragu pasta
✔️ White ragu pasta ₩33,000
This white ragu pasta combines charcoal oil, fresh pasta, Korean beef and pork ragu, smoked Grana Padano, truffle, and seasonal herbs. Because the fresh pasta is made in-house, its bouncy, chewy texture really stood out—and the star ragu sauce is genuinely textbook-perfect here, so definitely try it if it is your first visit to Geullodeu.

There was plenty for two people to share, and enjoying the pasta's texture with white wine and sparkling wine was a can't-go-wrong combination ❤️ The chewy pork we chose as our main also arrived, and its refined quality matched the beautiful plating—a choice that could not miss.
Chewy Korean pork with apple purée
✔️ Chewy pork ₩35,000
Geullodeu's chewy Korean pork is 200 g, finished with hazelnut butter shallots, seasonal herbs, hazelnut crumble, and espagnole sauce.

They prepared plates for each dish, so we could enjoy the flavors and aromas of the food itself exactly as they were. The chewy cut of pork with sweet-tart apple purée worked together far better than I expected; it felt like a true food experience. Cutting the juicy, nicely cooked pork into bite-sized pieces and having it with grilled onion and apple purée brought together sweet-salty savoriness, peppery notes, and the tangy apple purée deliciously.

Geullodeu is great not only as a second-stop Apgujeong wine bar, but also for an anniversary lunch or dinner. I recommend visiting to enjoy a variety of Western dishes made with seasonal ingredients cooked over charcoal and firewood.
