Kimchi udon and cheese cutlet at a Magok pork cutlet spot: Tteudon

A family outing after a long while ^-^ haha!!! Our baby Gamgyul is already one year old .. we went to Magok for the first-birthday photoshoot, and since we were already there we ate out in Magok too haha. Eating out as a family of three still feels new every time haha. It used to always be just the two of us, now it's always three of us, still can't quite get over it, haha.

Today's pick is pork cutlet!!!! We order pork cutlet delivery at home a lot too, and it's pork cutlet for eating out as well ^^ hahaha. Both my husband Minsu and I are pork cutlet lovers. We never get tired of it no matter how much we eat .. Today is our first time at 'Tteudon Magok Branch.' I've wanted to come here for a while, and finally made it!!!! ha

Tteudon Magok Branch: location, hours and parking

Tteudon Magok Branch is at 194 Gonghang-daero, Unit 216, Gangseo-gu, Seoul (799-3 Magok-dong, Magok Queens Park 12). It's open daily 10:30–21:00, last order at 20:30, and the underground parking lot is free for 2 hours.

Sunday at 3pm: is Tteudon Magok Branch easy with a baby?

When we went around 3pm on a Sunday, Tteudon Magok Branch was nearly empty. Probably because it was that awkward in-between lunch hour, so there weren't many people haha. Lucky, lucky. I was worried it'd be crowded since it has lots of reviews and a good rating, but thankfully it wasn't haha. Thanks to that we could sit comfortably with the baby!!

We ordered three things: tteudon pork cutlet, cheese pork cutlet, and kimchi udon ^-^ hahaha. We debated adding pasta too, but figured pork cutlet is the main event here !! so let's really go for the pork cutlet — two orders of it haha.

My husband's must-have drink whenever he eats fried food ^-^ zero-sugar cola ha. I only had one sip haha.

What's at the self-serve bar: morning bread, soup and tteokbokki

The great thing about Tteudon Magok Branch !!! There's a self-serve bar haha. You can help yourself to kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi), danmuji (pickled radish), and udon broth, plus there's morning bread, soup, and tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes) !!! haha. Honestly just those three — morning bread, soup, and tteokbokki — could fill you up on their own ..^^

That nostalgic tteokbokki flavor !! Why does the self-serve tteokbokki always taste exactly the same...? Genuinely such a mystery, I'm so curious !!! There used to be tteokbokki at the self-serve bar of a Korean restaurant I went to often back in the day, and it tasted exactly like this ... why is it always the same flavor !....? hahahaha Anyway, it's tasty but you shouldn't fill up on just this ㅠㅠㅠ

The kimchi udon arrives first

The kimchi udon came out first !!! For reference, I love the kimchi udon that pork cutlet restaurants serve ^^haha.

How to eat pork cutlet deliciously hahaha: stuff the morning bread with a ton of salad and cutlet !!!

It's finally here ~~~~~~ salad and dressing .. one look and I know exactly what this tastes like. Kind of like ... you know, the pork neck steak place Seogaandcook !! It tastes just like their salad hahaha. So good !! The pork cutlet looked thick and hearty at a glance too haha.

Eating the cheese pork cutlet the moment it comes out means the cheese stretches wildly haha. Generous amount of cheese, thick meat, so good !!

What was left after a family of three ate at Tteudon Magok Branch

We scraped everything clean .. finished the salad, corn salad, even the cherry tomatoes ^-^ haha. We left a bit of the rice out of conscience ~~~ Whew, felt like a proper stuffed-full meal out after a long while ^^ lol. My stomach still hadn't settled by dinnertime ...ㅠ The portion of pork cutlet was surprisingly generous too, and once you make it into a burger with the morning bread, there's no way you don't end up full. Few people around, and a great spot to bring a baby for a meal !🩷
