Moshi Moshi Sushi Lotte Department Store Gwangbok: the basics
- Hours: daily 10:00-21:00, last order 20:10
- Parking: department store parking lot support
I'm introducing Moshi Moshi, a great sushi spot at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok that I stopped by while shopping, since a relative's wedding is coming up! My kid has discovered the taste of raw fish lately, haha, so now we can enjoy sushi restaurants together too, which is so nice. Shopping plus tasty sushi makes a fun outing!

Where is Moshi Moshi Sushi in Lotte Gwangbok, and where to park?
Moshi Moshi Sushi is on the 10th-floor restaurant floor of Lotte Department Store Gwangbok, and if you use the Lotte Gwangbok parking lot, you can get parking support depending on how much you spend. Being inside the department store, it's perfect for dropping in while you shop! And you can use Catch Table too!
I recommend it as a course like ours: shopping → something tasty to eat → wandering around Nampo-dong. Parking in Nampo-dong is expensive, right?

Inside Moshi Moshi Sushi Gwangbok at opening time
We came right at opening time, so I quickly snapped some photos of the interior before the crowd arrived, haha.

The first thing you feel walking in is a clean yet classy restaurant atmosphere! The tables are spaced widely, which I liked, and the staff at the sushi bar in the middle were hard at work making sushi.

Bar counter for solo diners and high chairs for kids
There's also a bar counter, so I thought it would be good to stop by alone after shopping. Best of all, they have high chairs, which made visiting with a child easy.

Moshi Moshi Sushi menu: what should three people order?
The menu is more varied than I expected.

The Hansang (full-tray meal) menu is a good size for one person, and the sets by number of people are handy when ordering with a group. There were three of us, so we ordered Set 1 plus Assorted Sushi C.

There's a tablet at every table, so ordering is easy! And besides sushi they have chashu (braised pork), yaki udon (stir-fried udon), tempura, ramen and even a kids' menu, so it seems like a good place to go with people who can't eat sushi.
Set 1 plus Assorted Sushi C for about ₩70,000

We ordered Set 1 + Assorted Sushi C! It came to about ₩70,000 in total, and as the food came out one dish after another, the whole table filled up!!! It was more generous than I expected, and I was in a good mood from the moment I saw it, haha.
Assorted Sushi C: 10 pieces of sushi, 3 tempura, salads and miso soup

Assorted Sushi C is a one-person tray, and it was the priciest of the assorted sushi options, and the fish quality felt a little better to match. Abalone, eel, tuna, salmon, yukhoe (beef tartare), flounder? haha, honestly I don't know white fish well, so I can't say for sure, hehe. Still, you could tell at a glance that the fish looked fresh. Tons of delicious-looking sushi... drool.
Set 1: 16 pieces of sushi, fish roe rice, noodles, salads and miso soup

I picked Set 1 because I love mol-mil (soba, buckwheat noodles). I always have soba when I eat sushi, haha. And I ate the roe rice (albap) without much expectation, but it was better than I thought! It comes in a stone pot, so it stays warm until you finish, which was nice. The sushi selection is solid too, of course. You get a bit of everything in one set, so it was perfect for three people to share.
How does the sushi at Moshi Moshi taste?

The fish at Moshi Moshi was fresh, and the combination of rice and fish was good. I'll show you the sushi one by one in detail. We were wolfing it down, haha, so a few pieces didn't make it into the photo, hehe. Still, you can see how fresh the fish is, right? Eating them one by one, the plate was cleaned out before I knew it, haha.
Green salad, tofu salad and tempura on the side

The vegetable salad is fresh and good for whetting your appetite before the sushi. And I found this tofu salad really delicious too. The sauce was nutty and tasty, so I ate almost all of it myself, haha. The tempura was, I think, eggplant, shrimp and sweet potato, nicely crisp, and a tasty way to finish.

Review event: 2 free pieces of shrimp sushi
Moshi Moshi Gwangbok is also running a review event! I wrote a review and got 2 shrimp sushi pieces, and munched them happily.

Why Moshi Moshi Sushi suits families after shopping in Nampo-dong
I hear Moshi Moshi has 3 directly run branches in Busan.
- My parents' home is in Dongnae, so I often go to other branches too, and every branch is good! You can feel they're well managed because they're directly run!
- This time I came with my child, who has also discovered the taste of raw fish, haha, so it was even better to enjoy fresh, chewy sushi together.
- It's good for a meal while shopping, and parking is easy, so it's easy to get to in many ways!
- The atmosphere is nice too, so it seems fine for group gatherings.
If you want to shop in Nampo-dong and eat tasty sushi, give Moshi Moshi a visit :) Had a great meal again today!
