Yaeum-dong, Ulsan shabu buffet at 11am weekday opening: Shabre Garden

In short

Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch is a shabu-shabu and sushi buffet on Suam-ro in Yaeum-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan. Two adults arrived at weekday opening time for lunch at ₩24,900 per person and ate shabu-shabu, sushi, the salad bar, patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans) and affogato. There was no wait, but Shabre Garden filled up quickly, and the ground-level lot right next to the building proved the better parking choice. Shabre Garden's food quality is high for a buffet, making it a solid pick for family meals and group gatherings.

Is there a wait at Shabre Garden Ulsan at weekday opening time?

When I arrived at Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch right at weekday opening (11 a.m.), I got in with no wait. But guests poured in as soon as the doors opened, the seats filled up quickly, and people kept coming after that.

I was looking for a shabu-shabu place in Yaeum-dong and went to the newly opened Shabre Garden. You get shabu-shabu, sushi and lots of other buffet dishes all in one place, so I was really satisfied. I came at weekday opening in case there was a wait, and luckily there wasn't. Judging by this, I think weekends might have a wait. There are plenty of seats too, so it looks fine for family meals or group gatherings.

Where to park for Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch

Shabre Garden is on the 2nd floor of a medical building, and it's best to use the 1st-floor parking lot right next to the building. If you park at Suam Market Public Parking Lot, right next to Suam Hoe Center (raw fish center), they take ₩1,500 off your bill, they said!

But I don't recommend the Suam Market lot,,! Even at 11 on a weekday it was full, with lots of cars lined up waiting. I parked in the lot right next to the building.

Inside Shabre Garden Ulsan: dining room and seating

The seating inside is pleasant, and there are lots of seats. Baby chairs and baby tableware are ready too, so no problem for a family meal!

My row of seats was set up with sofa seats plus chairs. It was crowded, so I only took a few photos! There are more seats than you'd expect.

How much is weekday lunch at Shabre Garden Ulsan?

Weekday lunch at Shabre Garden Ulsan is ₩24,900 per adult, and with two adults ours came to ₩49,800. For that price you get shabu-shabu, sushi, lots of salads and desserts. Seriously great value!

What's in the Shabre Garden salad zone?

The salad zone has a really wide spread: tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), smoked duck, pasta, yakiudon (stir-fried udon), tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), takoyaki, fried foods, pizza, fruit, salads and more.

There are vegetables for the shabu-shabu broth and for wraps too. I love shabu-shabu and go to Shabhyang often, but every time I go the vegetables and pineapple run short and I always have to order more. At Shabre Garden I could bring as much as I wanted, which I loved.

Beef zone: unlimited beef chuck and brisket

The beef zone has pork neck (mokshim) and beef brisket (usamgyeop). You can take as much meat as you want, which is honestly the best for shabu-shabu lovers!

Sushi zone: how good is Shabre Garden's buffet sushi?

Shabre Garden has a really wide variety of sushi, not just shabu-shabu. It was buffet sushi, but the quality was pretty good.

Dessert zone: patbingsu, drinks and dry rice paper

In the dessert zone you can make your own patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans). I love the rice cakes that go into patbingsu, and I could add as many as I wanted!!

There's a variety of drinks too, and you can take as much rice paper as you like. The rice paper is dry, so you can eat it as is or dip it lightly in cold water. It was my first time trying the dry kind, and it was fun!

Shabre Garden shabu-shabu broth and what we actually ate

Half-and-half broth shabu-shabu pot at Shabre Garden

I liked that the shabu-shabu broth could be split half and half. It isn't heavily seasoned!

Being able to enjoy so many different dishes at once is just so appealing ~~~!

I loaded up properly,,! If you come here you should eat until you've gotten your money's worth, but we were too full to eat more,, oh no! So disappointing,,,!!! I should have eaten more!! Next time I'll go in the evening and eat a ton.

Affogato made from Shabre Garden dessert items

But dessert is a must. I scooped ice cream into espresso and made an affogato too. Dessert cleared!

Verdict: who is Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch good for?

It's a buffet, so honestly I didn't expect much from the taste, but the quality was better than I thought and it was delicious. I liked being able to enjoy a wide range of food at a low price: shabu-shabu, sushi, tteokbokki, pasta, pizza, fruit desserts and more.

The menu is varied, so it's good for any age group, and with so many seats it seems great for group gatherings too. Baby chairs and baby tableware are ready, and you can also help yourself to draft beer as much as you like. If you're looking for a shabu-shabu spot in Yaeum-dong or a good buffet in Ulsan, I recommend Shabre Garden :)
