600g black pork course pre-grilled on charcoal near Shinhwa World
In short
Heukdonsibaekdonmyeon Shinhwa World Branch is a black pork restaurant near Shinhwa World in Seogwipo, Jeju. The writer ordered 600g of black pork geungogi (thick-cut pork) plus the restaurant's own dangmyeon-oi-muchim (spicy glass noodle and cucumber salad), served pre-grilled on charcoal straight onto the pan. After eating black pork once a day throughout the whole Jeju trip, this was the best one — a spot the writer says would hold up even without any sponsorship.

One of the must-eat foods on any Jeju trip is Jeju black pork! On this trip I ate black pork once a day, and Heukdonsibaekdonmyeon Shinhwa World Branch turned out to be the best black pork spot of the whole trip — the kind of taste I kept thinking about even after the trip ended, haha. This place felt like it would hold up even paying with my own money, so I wanted to write it up and share it right away!
A black pork restaurant near Shinhwa World, with pickup and drop-off

I ended up here while looking for somewhere to eat near Shinhwa World, and if you're planning to eat around Shinhwa World, apparently you can use their pickup and drop-off service too! I'll have to try it next time I visit without a car, haha.

They sell a variety of meat menus here, like black pork geungogi (thick-cut pork), fresh galbi, and samgyeopsal, plus a solid dessert lineup! Group reservations are available for up to 70 people, so it looks great for family gatherings, company workshops, or tourist group meals too.

The round-table dining room vibe
Walking in, the place had a clean, comfortable atmosphere overall. The round tables felt cozy and a bit like they were calling for a drink, haha. It's the kind of vibe where a family could sit around grilling meat at ease — I'd love to bring my parents here next time!!

Besides dinner, they also have a lunch set menu that's pretty good value, so it's great for anyone wanting Jeju black pork in the daytime too, haha.

Ordering 600g of black pork geungogi and dangmyeon-oi-muchim
I ordered the 600g black pork geungogi and added the dangmyeon-oi-muchim (glass noodle and cucumber salad) on top!!

They show you the raw meat first, then grill it over charcoal and bring it back out on the pan!

While waiting a bit, I checked out the info on black pork's health benefits — turns out this tasty friend has quite a lot going for it too?!

Rice-roasted salt, an unusual charm
Looking at the basic table setting, there was an unusual-looking salt, so I asked — turns out it's salt roasted together with rice!! An unusual little charm, this salt ⭐️

The dangmyeon-oi-muchim you can only get here
This dish is dangmyeon-oi-muchim, and apparently it's a menu item only found at this Shinhwa World black pork spot, Heukdonsibaekdonmyeon! The spicy seasoning with crunchy cucumber and chewy glass noodles paired surprisingly well with the black pork!!

The pre-grilled-on-charcoal method
One thing different from a typical Korean BBQ place: when you order the meat, they pre-grill it deliciously over charcoal and prepare it so you can eat it right away. Even when meat quality is good, how it's grilled matters too, right? You don't have to grill it yourself — you just get to eat perfectly grilled black pork straight away, so it's a really comfortable way to eat! Thanks to an owner who's clearly serious about meat, waiting for it to grill felt happy 💓

The owner explained the best way to eat it, and the moment I took the first bite, this was personally the tastiest black pork I've had in Jeju so far. Seriously. A great restaurant.

How I ate it: with maeljeot and roasted salt
The meat was really tender with plenty of juice, and the subtle charcoal smokiness on top made the black pork's own savory flavor come through even more.

Dipping it in maeljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) maximized the umami — it was like fireworks going off in my mouth, ugh. Ah, this place was a black pork spot I almost wanted to keep to myself ✨

The black pork's quality was so good that it was delicious even with just a light dip in salt 👍🏻

I was genuinely so satisfied after this meal that if I think of black pork on my next Jeju trip, this is where I want to come back to 🫶🏻 If you're looking for a good black pork restaurant near Shinhwa World, definitely go to Heukdonsibaekdonmyeon 💓
