Seogwipo seafood restaurant for braised cutlassfish: Jejurowoon
In short
Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch is a seafood restaurant in Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo, Jeju, where I had the braised cutlassfish A set on this trip. At ₩24,000 per person, it included grilled tilefish, glutinous-pot rice, soy-marinated crab, and my choice of seafood stew; the well-seasoned fish and varied set were satisfying, though parking nearby was hard to find at the time.

Where did I eat braised cutlassfish during my Seongsan trip in Jeju?
On this trip to Jeju, I had braised cutlassfish at Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch (제주로운청해원 성산일출봉점) in Seongsan-eup. It was easy to plan into an itinerary with nearby sights such as Seongsan Ilchulbong and Seopjikoji.

How were the parking and seating?
I visited by car, but it was difficult to find parking around the restaurant, so I parked along the roadside at the time.

The building exterior and entrance were neat, and the sign was easy to spot. The restaurant was large with plenty of seating, so it looked suitable for families or groups traveling together. I ate comfortably under the warm lighting.

What are the price and inclusions of the braised cutlassfish A set?
Of the various set menus, we ordered the A set. The price listed in the original post was ₩24,000 per person, and it could be ordered for two or more people.
- Standard inclusions: braised cutlassfish, grilled tilefish, glutinous-pot rice, and soy-marinated crab
- Soup choice: one seafood stew or sea urchin seaweed soup for two servings

I chose the seafood stew. I liked being able to have the spicy, refreshing broth along with braised cutlassfish, grilled tilefish, and pot rice all at once.

How were the soy-marinated crab and grilled tilefish?
Not long after ordering, the food was laid out as a full spread. The soy-marinated crab served as a side dish was not overly salty, with a light sweetness and plenty of meat. The accompanying side dishes were neatly prepared too.

The grilled tilefish was golden-brown, crisp outside and moist inside. The more I chewed it, the more I could taste its clean, nutty flavor.

How were the seasoning and texture of the braised cutlassfish?
The thick pieces of cutlassfish were well soaked in a spicy, sweet, and savory sauce. The seasoning suited my taste.

I did not notice any fishy taste while eating, and the cutlassfish flesh was tender. I mixed the fluffy cooked radish and cutlassfish with the sauce into my rice.

How did I finish the meal with glutinous-pot rice?
The glutinous-pot rice was freshly cooked and warm, with a pleasant chewiness to the grains. After serving the rice into a bowl, I poured warm water into the pot, then finished the meal with sungnyung (scorched-rice tea) and nurungji (scorched rice).
I was satisfied with the set because I could have braised cutlassfish along with grilled tilefish, soy-marinated crab, and seafood stew. The restaurant was spacious and neat, and I would like to return with my parents next time.
