Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is a Chinese restaurant located at 200 Dalmaji-gil117beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, on the 1st floor. There's a parking space in front of the building. After parking, just walk past the café to reach the entrance.

Bueokgan opening hours and break time

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is open 11:00–22:00. Break time is 15:00–16:30, and last order is 21:00.

Inside Bueokgan: group gatherings and dates alike

I saw a lot of wide, comfortable tables that looked great for group gatherings.

The window side was a bright space, perfect for dates or family dinners, and with the soft lighting added in, the food looked even more delicious and people looked even prettier.

We went in at 2pm and came out around closing time, so we got to take pretty photos all over the place. We skipped the window seats in front of the mirror since they were popular even late in the day, but even so, you can't even imagine how much care went into the interior design! It's a next-level Chinese restaurant atmosphere. This is exactly what Bueokgan aims for —

What we ordered: two poached-egg gan-jjajang, shrimp fried rice and an octopus rice bowl

The food came out pretty fast after ordering. The poached-egg pork belly jjajangmyeon is the best-selling dish here!!!

How spicy is the poached-egg octopus rice bowl?

The poached-egg octopus rice bowl (jungwha dopbap) came with a filling portion and plenty of tender octopus. It was a bit spicy, but by the end, finishing off with the jjajangmyeon made the spiciness fade. If I'd eaten a whole bowl by myself, it might have been quite spicy. A bit spicier than Shin Ramyun, maybe, or about the same. Since three of us shared it, it was just the right level of deliciously spicy.

Poached-egg pork belly gan-jjajang (stir-fried black bean noodles)

The poached-egg pork belly jjajangmyeon comes loaded with meat. The fresh-tasting onions and thick cuts of meat together create a dopamine explosion. I understood immediately why it's so popular.

The bowl itself is so pretty too — happiness for 10,000 won.

Shrimp fried rice at Bueokgan

The shrimp fried rice has beautifully fluffy, well-fried rice, and eating it together with the shrimp really boosts the umami!!! Great for kids too.

Bueokgan menu and prices: jjamppong sold out late in the day

At Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch, you can try Bueokgan's signature jjajangmyeon for ₩8,000, making it a good-value spot given the atmosphere. Jjajangmyeon may top the order rankings, but the jjamppong is said to be incredibly delicious too — we were just too late, and it was sold out...

When you press the call button, there are several options listed, but we ended up just repeatedly pressing 'more pickled radish' the whole time. All the staff were so kind too, which made us feel really well taken care of.

This feast at Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan is now filed away in my mind as a Haeundae Chinese restaurant to remember. A place that sticks in your memory for its atmosphere — I'd love to come back again for a group meetup, a date, or a family dinner.
