What kind of café is Chat Baker?
Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café is a large, 500-pyeong bakery café located at 512-4391 Seodong-daero, inside 512 Square in Gongdo-eup, Anseong. It's open daily from 09:00 to 23:00 (last order 22:00), and brunch and pasta can be ordered from 11:00 to 20:00.

I found a large bakery café that's perfect for whenever you need good brunch and some heart-soothing healing. It's a full 500 pyeong, with a charming appeal from the cool floor-to-ceiling windows and plant interior vibe. If you're near Anseong Farm Land looking for a relaxing space to unwind, I highly recommend Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café. ^^

Parking at 512 Square and finding the Chat Baker entrance
For parking at Chat Baker, use the ground-level lot inside 512 Square. The lot is really spacious, so I could park comfortably without worrying at all. Being a ground-level lot made it even better. 👍
Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café sits among several shops. 😄 There are shops on either side of the first floor, and you go in through the middle. It has a soft green, atmospheric feel.
Chat Baker's 500-pyeong first floor and its window seats
Walking through the entrance and inside, a spacious, comfortable hall appeared that really made the '500 pyeong' claim feel real. The sense of room the space gives off is genuinely different from most places. The tables were spaced really far apart too, giving an overall clean and relaxed feeling.

Here's the first floor. The window seats let in warm sunlight, so just sitting there felt like it would be healing on its own. It seemed like a great spot to bring a laptop and quietly spend some time, or just to zone out (haha) — perfect for that.

In one corner of the store, awards and certificates they've received over time were displayed nicely, and seeing proof of their skill right there made me look forward to the bread even more~~ 😁

There was a 'Very Excellent' hygiene grade certificate and a carefully organized board showing allergy information by menu item. The thoughtful attention to detail stood out.

Menu board and bakery display at Chat Baker
Chat Baker's menu board lists various drinks along with brunch items like pasta and risotto. I'd already had lunch before I visited today, so I missed out. @@ I'll definitely have to come back for brunch!!!

Ta-da~~ True to its status as a large bakery café, the dessert selection was really varied and plentiful. Bread, sandwiches, cakes, cookies, and more. There was too much to capture in photos, so I took a video instead. Bakery (bread~)

Colorful, pretty handmade cakes were arranged in a full lineup by type. Wooden trays were filled with cookies baked to a mouthwatering finish. I don't know why cookies have been this appealing lately~~ hahaha
Second floor: plants, big windows and the LP record concept
Chat Baker's second floor feels even more spacious than the first, and very clean and orderly. Clean white-toned stairs blend harmoniously with the green plant interior. It's basically its own photo zone full of atmosphere.
There were LPs, there was pottery... how do I put it, it made me want to walk quietly and carefully even in my footsteps. It struck me that this would be a great place to come alone and read a book.

The name Chat Baker was inspired by the jazz great Chet Baker. Just as his music doesn't need to be flashy to leave a quiet resonance in your heart, this place also aims for a space that leaves an impression rather than showing off excessive decoration. At the same time, 'Chat' means conversation. Chat Baker is a space where good bread, coffee, and warm conversations happen — a place where the feelings of your day can stay a while.
There's an outdoor terrace seating area too. The wall filled with LP records and vintage sound equipment caught my eye right away. I really loved the concept of Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café.

Turning one whole wall into just a window was also great. The scenery outside through the huge glass wall gave a perfect sense of openness too. Judging by the direction it faces, this must be a great sunset spot! 👍 The big lighting fixture hanging from the ceiling and the water trickling down the glass are just something you have to feel in person. heh
The bread and coffee we ordered at Chat Baker
At Chat Baker I ordered iced Americano, olive ciabatta, salt bread, cheddar cheese rice salt bread, thousand-layer croissant, and a pizza ciabatta sandwich. Everything finally arrived.

Pizza ciabatta sandwich and iced Americano
Here's the pizza ciabatta sandwich and a refreshing iced Americano. It was packed with fresh vegetables and tomato, giving a great bite and texture. And of course, a cool Americano pairs perfectly with bakery items haha

Olive ciabatta and salt bread
This is the olive ciabatta and salt bread. Even just looking at it, the golden-brown bake stimulated my appetite. The olives dotted through it and the airy, holey crumb looked really appetizing. The olive ciabatta had a plain, wholesome flavor. And the salt bread... this salt bread is delicious here.

Thousand-layer croissant
This is the thousand-layer croissant, with layers upon layers of distinctly alive texture. Every bite made a crisp sound that was a pleasure to hear.

Salt bread vs cheddar cheese rice salt bread
This is the salt bread, full of a plain yet salty charm. When I tore it apart by hand, the inside was so moist and soft. 😄

This is the cheddar cheese rice salt bread, packed full of rich cheese. The combination of the chewy rice dough and the savory cheese was perfect. 👍

Good to know before you visit Chat Baker
Chat Baker doesn't have a self-service packing station for taking leftover bread home. But if you ask, they'll give you a bag.
