Seogwipo café with ice cream croffles: Forest Jeongbang

When you're in Jeju, just sitting in a café and looking at the sea is healing in itself, right? That's how I ended up at Forest Jeongbang (포레스트 정방). During a Seogwipo trip, it is absolutely one to add to your café list: you can relax amid an open view and simply zone out to the sea. It is near Jeongbang Waterfall, so it fits easily into an itinerary, and it is well known as a great café stop nearby. Here begins my honest visit review of Forest Jeongbang, which may help anyone looking for a Jeju ocean-view café with a cool, beautiful sea view.

Dedicated parking and a Jeju-style entrance

A large sign for the café's dedicated parking lot stands by the entrance, so even on a first visit, it was easy to spot and pull in. I visited around 2 p.m. on a Friday; it was not crowded, and there was plenty of dedicated parking, which made things so easy with no parking stress.

Forest Jeongbang's inviting exterior, mixing orange and black, really stood out. With tall palm trees all around the building, it has that distinctly Jeju, exotic resort feel.

By the café entrance is a charming little space decorated with cute character figures, including Pikachu and Hello Kitty—just the spot to snap a photo.

Head outside behind the entrance and you will find a neatly kept small garden and a dol hareubang (Jeju stone grandfather statue). This is another photo spot, of course.

Inside, the café has a modern, clean white-toned interior. Blue Jeju scenery fills the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the well-spaced tables make it a nice place for conversation.

There are also seats where a group can sit comfortably and chat away.

The second floor is enclosed by floor-to-ceiling windows and folding doors, opening onto a sweeping ocean view in bright sunlight. From comfy sofa seats to window seats, everything is neatly arranged, so it is easy to choose a spot that suits you.

On the outdoor terrace, white tables and chairs are set out for enjoying the ocean view with a breeze. Seogwipo's clear sea was honestly a work of art.

It was still hot out, so I only took photos and hurried right back inside to find a seat 🤣

Our ice cream croffle + iced Americano set and Jeju Aurora Lemonade arrived. The presentation was so colorful and pretty that I took photos before eating~ A sweet dessert with a tangy, refreshing drink is such a good pairing, right? 🤭

Rich-crema Americano and an ice cream croffle

This iced Americano came with the set, and isn't that thick crema just gorgeous? I was really satisfied: it had deep flavor and aroma, while the coffee beans' clean, nutty character came through beautifully.

Just looking at this ice cream croffle makes your mouth water! Soft vanilla ice cream sits on a sweet waffle that is crisp outside and moist inside. The combination of the crisp-yet-tender croffle and rich vanilla was so good. Definitely a croffle spot!!!
