A new Italian restaurant on the Baekhyeon-dong café street

There are quite a few good restaurants on the Baekhyeon café street, and for a few days I'd been walking past and watching a new place get ready to open. Which restaurant would it be? I was curious and excited... and finally it opened: 'Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch', a Baekhyeon-dong café street favorite that is also called 'Raon Table' (라온테이블)~

The exterior is so neat, isn't it? It gave me the feeling of a tasty pizza place in some village in the European countryside. ^^

Entrance and floor-to-ceiling windows of Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch

The area in front is tidy and well kept too. The table by that big window looks like the best seat in the house~

Inside Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch there are wood-tone tables and floor-to-ceiling windows. Maybe because it has only just opened, the interior is spotless and the mood is so bright and nice~

The tables inside are very clean too~ The wood-tone tables give a comfortable, relaxed feeling! I think it's the first time I've felt a wooden interior look this spacious and roomy~

I especially love these big windows~ Eating while looking out the window at this table would put me in a great mood. Beyond the glass you can see cypress trees! Enjoying pasta and pizza beside that view is so romantic~

They've neatly prepared high chairs too~ ^^

The pasta and pizza ingredients are on display too, so I had fun looking around~

How good is the wood-fired margherita pizza?

The first dish is the margherita at Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch. The dough is neither thick nor thin, just the right thickness~ The white cheese on the red tomato sauce looks so appealing. ^^ The red of the tomato! The white of the mozzarella! The green of the basil! Delicious food always seems to come with these three colors~ ^^

The mozzarella here in particular seems to have something special about it~ I think they use a high-quality mozzarella!!

Ah~ I'd been waiting for this moment, wanting to pick up a slice of margherita and dig in. ^^ The tomato sauce has just the right acidity and goes well with the mild flavor of the cheese!

The chewy texture and mild, nutty flavor of the mozzarella! I think this mozzarella will come to mind every time I visit Raon Sik Tak~

Truffle potato gnocchi: what is the texture like?

The truffle potato gnocchi at Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch is a cream-sauce dish generously topped with mushrooms and nutty toppings. I personally love truffle aroma, so I ordered it. A subtle truffle scent always stimulates my appetite in a good way~

It's piled with nutty toppings and mushrooms! The star, the potato gnocchi, has a slight springiness~ If gnocchi is too soft the texture is disappointing, but this has just the right bounce, with a gentle chewiness that makes it really feel like you're eating gnocchi. ^^

The subtle aroma and flavor of the potato blend well with the cream sauce, and the nutty toppings finish off the true taste of the truffle potato gnocchi~

Plate of truffle potato gnocchi in rich cream sauce

The cream sauce is just rich enough that when you pick up a piece of gnocchi, the sauce clings to it~ You get the richness of butter and cheese along with the truffle aroma, and the mushrooms and toppings are really charming!

The truffle potato gnocchi at Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch is honestly the best gnocchi I've ever had~

Seafood tomato fettuccine: how does the fresh pasta taste?

The seafood tomato fettuccine at Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch uses fresh noodles, and it was the dish I'd recommend most of the three that day. It really let me feel what fresh pasta is about! Everything I tried today was great, but this one was the best of all~

The variety of seafood catches your eye first~ Plump shrimp and chewy squid! The sour and sweet of the tomato sauce go well with the freshness of the seafood, and every single piece was a joy to eat!

Seafood pasta can sometimes smell fishy, but the seafood pasta here has no fishiness at all, just a clean taste! The mussels and clams are wonderfully chewy~~

The pasta uses fresh noodles. It's on a different level from ordinary pasta noodles~

Fresh fettuccine noodles in the seafood tomato pasta

The first bite is very soft, and then the chewiness surprises you with every bite! I kept thinking, "Ah~ this chewy texture is so good." ^^

Fresh fettuccine twirled on a fork

I've had plenty of seafood pasta, but I really want to recommend the seafood tomato fettuccine (fresh noodles) at Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch~ The flavors of the tomato sauce, seafood, fresh noodles and cream all come through clearly and blend well together, which was the real charm of this dish!

In every dish today the ingredients came together in harmony, and the three dishes matched each other well too~ Did I order well? Haha~
