Andover, great for setting the mood on the Baekhyeon-dong café street

This is my review of Andover, a brunch spot on Pangyo's Baekhyeon-dong café street, where I went to catch up with a close friend I hadn't seen in a while. The modern interior had a relaxed atmosphere, and the food — made with care down to every sauce — made our meetup even more special ;) From the visuals to the taste, Pangyo's Andover was excellent, and here's my review after a leisurely meal and chat there ❣️

It's convenient to use the Baekhyeon-dong café street public parking lot when visiting Andover, but... the lot is genuinely popular on weekday afternoons. 😅 This must be a hot spot for brunch gatherings — it was almost full by 11am.

Base rate: 30 min for ₩400 / +₩200 per 10 min, daily max ₩6,000

At about ₩1,000 an hour, parking is fairly cheap, too. And if you keep your receipt from a café street shop, you get 1 hour free, making it even easier on the wallet.

Entrance to Andover's black-toned storefront in Pangyo

A 3-minute walk from the public lot brought us to Andover, whose black-toned exterior stood out. True to its 'housemade' label, this was a place with plenty of charm in its carefully made-from-scratch menu items :)

Inside Andover: the window seats and the room

Stepping inside Andover, soft sunlight filters in through the glass walls. I also loved the sophisticated black-and-white color scheme.

The showcase had all sorts of items for sale, from Andover's own handmade sauces to jambon, cheese, and wine. With so many things that pair well with wine, this also looked like a nice spot to stop by for a light glass in the evening.

What we ordered at Andover and what it cost

The brunch menu had a wide range of options — salads, pasta, even handmade lasagna — so the two of us debated what to get and ended up ordering based on Naver reviews haha

  • Fresh basil cold pasta ₩28,000
  • Lasagna 320g ₩22,000
  • Andover meatball cream ₩24,000
  • Two cups of coffee with a bit of acidity ;)

Personally, my favorite dish — the fresh basil cold pasta

This photo really shows the texture packed with what seemed like plenty of nuts. The pesto had a strong, fragrant basil aroma, and you could enjoy it refreshingly like a cold salad — it did a great job as an appetizer :)

Lasagna 320g, 22,000 won

The lasagna came with a fresh side salad. The mix of yellow, green, and red colors looked really appetizing 😋

With handmade meat sauce and plenty of cheese, this is a combination that can't possibly taste bad ❣️

Andover meatball cream, 24,000 won

The meatball cream also had a flavor that felt homemade with care 😋

The meatballs had a rich, meaty flavor, and paired quite well with the gravy-like cream sauce. We soaked up every last bit of sauce left in the pan with bread ;)
