Tikka masala work-trip lunch at Pangyo Indian restaurant Bombay Broy

I was on a work trip to Pangyo and looking for somewhere to eat lunch when I ended up at Bombay Broy Pangyo. After trying it, I really felt like this is a spot worth keeping in mind as a proper Pangyo lunch restaurant 💕

It's an Indian restaurant run by an actual Indian owner, so from the curry to the tandoori to the naan, you get a real authentic feel. And the prices aren't intimidating either, which made me like it even more! Haha, for about ₩30,000 for two at lunch on a weekday, the set menu was enough to fill us up nicely.

What is the dining room like at Bombay Broy Pangyo?

Bombay Broy is a curry restaurant run by an Indian owner, and the moment you walk in you get that distinct Indian restaurant atmosphere hahaha. But the space turned out to be much bigger and more comfortable than I expected, which I liked.

The space is decorated mainly in wood tones with colorful tile accents added in, so the interior looks pretty nice too.

The tables weren't cramped and there were larger tables too, so it seemed like a good option for a Pangyo lunch, a coworker gathering, or a lunch get-together.

We visited during a slightly quieter time, so the restaurant was calm, which made it nice to chat with my companion while eating lunch.

Choosing a curry from the weekday lunch A and B sets

Looking at the menu, the variety of curries was really impressive. Beyond curry, there was tandoori chicken, naan, rice, and more, so you could enjoy a wide range of Indian dishes — it was fun just picking what to order haha. We ended up ordering the weekday lunch A set and B set, one each.

Each set lets you choose one curry, so I picked butter chicken and my companion picked tikka masala! They're both in the same curry family, but the two flavors are clearly different, so choosing this way turned out even better.

Butter chicken vs tikka masala: what is the difference?

First, the butter chicken had a strong smooth, savory quality, so it went really well with naan.

The tikka masala, on the other hand, was a bit richer with more of that spice flavor coming through haha. Both were delicious, but the direction of the flavor was clearly different, so if you find it hard to settle for just one curry, I'd recommend picking two different kinds like we did.

And personally, I liked the naan just as much as the curry! Dipping freshly made naan into the curry was genuinely delicious.

The tandoori chicken shouldn't be skipped either. The tandoori chicken, properly infused with spices, made for a great combination with the curry and naan as a full meal. If you're someone who usually loves Indian food, there are plenty of menu options to pick according to your taste haha.

How much a Pangyo Indian lunch costs for two

That day, the two of us ordered the A set and B set and covered lunch for about ₩30,000 haha. These days lunch prices for two in Pangyo add up fast, so getting curry, naan, and tandoori together for this price felt pretty good.

It seems especially good for when you want something a bit different from the usual lunch menu! If you're looking for a Pangyo lunch spot or a lunch idea for Pangyo office workers, I'd recommend this to anyone who likes Indian food 🎵

Personally, aside from the food, I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant haha. The space itself is spacious and the tables are large, so it seemed comfortable even for a group visit, and the interior had an exotic feel that made for a nice change of pace while eating. The owner was kind too, and with such a varied menu, it wasn't hard to choose even on a first visit.

I visited this time because of a work trip to Pangyo, but I thought it'd be nice to stop by again for a lunch get-together or a nearby gathering. Run by an actual Indian owner, offering authentic-feeling Indian food, with prices that aren't intimidating and a comfortable dining room — Bombay Broy is a Pangyo curry spot I was satisfied with.
