Songjeong tonkatsu with parking: spicy cutlet and udon sets, Hana
In short
Hana Donkatsu Songjeong Beach Branch is a Japanese-style pork cutlet restaurant a 5-minute walk from Songjeong Beach in Haeundae, Busan. Two of us ordered one set each and shared — a tenderloin and udon set for 15,000 won and a spicy tonkatsu and soba set for 16,000 won — and the crisp-outside, juicy-inside tenderloin and the properly simmered udon stood out. With 2 parking spots in front of Hana Donkatsu plus an underground lot, it was an easy lunch stop on a weekend Songjeong outing.

Where to eat lunch after seeing the Songjeong sea?

We went to see the summer sea at Songjeong over the weekend — for lunch we went to Hana Donkatsu, 5 minutes from the beach, with easy parking and a nice atmosphere. Here's the full rundown of prices and menu :)
Where is Hana Donkatsu Songjeong Beach Branch, and is there parking?
Hana Donkatsu Songjeong Beach Branch is a 5-minute walk from Songjeong Beach. There are 2 parking spots right in front and an underground parking lot, so it was easy to park even on a weekend.

It's close enough to Songjeong Beach that you can stroll over after seeing the sea. Blue Line Park's Songjeong Station is also nearby, so it works well as a lunch stop on a beach train course.

Parking in Songjeong on weekends is usually a bit stressful, but here I could park right in front of the store! Just 2 spots out front, plus an underground lot :)
Inside Hana Donkatsu: counter seats downstairs, window tables upstairs
Hana Donkatsu Songjeong Beach Branch has a two-story layout — counter (dachi) seats on the 1st floor, table seats on the 2nd floor. The wood-and-white Japanese-style interior felt calm and clean.

As soon as you open the door, the wood-and-white Japanese-style interior feels calm and clean. The 1st floor has counter seats, which work fine even for groups.

The 2nd floor has table seats, and since we went at lunch, sunlight was streaming in through the full windows, which was nice — there are quite a lot of tables too.

Even though we went after 1pm, there were quite a lot of customers. There are table seats and single counter seats, so it seems fine for two people or solo dining. At the next table there was a family with a baby, and since they have high chairs, it seems good for families too :)
Set menu prices: tenderloin and udon 15,000 won, spicy tonkatsu and soba 16,000 won
We ordered the tenderloin + udon set (₩15,000) and the spicy tonkatsu + soba set (₩16,000). The Hana Donkatsu sets come with noodles, so ordering one each and sharing between two people was plenty.

We ordered two: the tenderloin + udon (₩15,000) and the spicy tonkatsu + soba set (₩16,000). At first, seeing ₩15,000 for a pork cutlet felt like a bit much, but...

...once the udon and soba came out with it, it didn't feel that pricey after eating. Ordering one each and sharing between two of us, we ended up really full!
How do the tenderloin cutlet, udon and spicy tonkatsu taste?
Hana Donkatsu's tenderloin was thick but still crispy outside and juicy inside, and the udon broth that came with it exceeded expectations. The spicy tonkatsu got noticeably spicier as you kept eating, which paired well with the cold soba.

The tenderloin came out first. It was pretty thick, so I worried it might be dry, but one bite and it was completely crispy-outside-juicy-inside. The outside was crunchy and the inside was tender, so my husband and I immediately said it's delicious!!! and added a bit of salt while eating.

Taking bites of udon in between, this place is definitely a real udon spot! A lot of tonkatsu restaurants half-ass the udon, but this one was the real deal. Personally I'd recommend the udon set!

My husband likes spicy food so he ordered the spicy tonkatsu — at first it seemed pretty mild, but it gets noticeably spicier as you go.

Dipping the plump loin cutlet fully into the sauce and taking a bite was so good — not too spicy, just the right amount of heat, and really tasty.

A cool bite of soba right after that hit the spot!!! The spicy tonkatsu was better than expected :) The staff were friendly too, which made the place even better.
Wait times and tips for visiting Hana Donkatsu in Songjeong
We visited on a weekday and got into Hana Donkatsu Songjeong Beach Branch with no wait. But on weekend lunches or during the summer peak season, it can get crowded, so I'd recommend going a bit early.

Since we went on a weekday, we got in right away with no wait. Still, weekend lunches or summer peak season can get crowded, so going a bit early is recommended.
If you're going as a pair, do what we did — order one tenderloin set and one spicy tonkatsu set so you can try both the udon and the soba! After eating, it's easy to walk straight to Songjeong Beach or catch the beach train, making it perfect for a half-day date course. If you're wondering where to eat lunch in Songjeong like I was, I'd recommend Hana Donkatsu :)
