Seongsu café after Demon Slayer exhibit: mango soufflé with kids, 5to7
In short
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is a soufflé café on Seoulsup 2-gil in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. After the Demon Slayer exhibition in Seongsu, the writer escaped the heat with the kids at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch and ordered a fresh mango soufflé, an americano, a strawberry cream latte and a matcha cream latte. The fresh mango soufflé was soft and generous and went well with coffee, but the stairs are steep, so the 1st-floor seats are a good choice with children.

A Seoulsup soufflé café after the Demon Slayer exhibition in Seongsu
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is a soufflé café on Seoulsup 2-gil. We stopped by to escape the heat after seeing the Demon Slayer exhibit in Seongsu and having lunch. The Seongsu café street is so famous that I couldn't decide where to go, and 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch caught my eye. The soufflé and coffee went really well together.

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is at 44-13 Seoulsup 2-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and it's open daily from 12:00 to 21:00.

I was so excited to see how fresh and pretty the green leaves looked against the old brick house and the terrace.

Where to park for 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch has no private parking lot, but there are public lots nearby, so luckily I managed to park. Given the nature of the Seongsu café street, public transport is a bit more convenient, so I'd recommend that. Nearby lots include the Seongdong-gu Citizens Sports Center, the Galleria Foret lot, the Seoulsup D Tower lot and the Ttukseom Reservoir public lot, for your reference.

Seating and atmosphere: quiet on a weekday afternoon
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch has a cozy, sunlit interior, plus a terrace and rooftop, so there were plenty of places to sit. The tables and chairs are comfortable, which makes chatting easy. It's known by word of mouth as a must-visit soufflé café in Seoul and gets quite a lot of customers, but at around 3 PM on a weekday it was quiet.

It also has a history of appearing on TV several times.

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch menu: which soufflé did we pick?
The menu at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch has soufflés, coffee, tea and ade.

Choosing a soufflé was the hardest part. Ube is hot these days, right? My kid also loves matcha, and the pearl cream brûlée soufflé seemed like the signature item. If we'd gone in winter I'd have ordered the fresh strawberry soufflé without hesitation, but the kids' and my pick was the fresh mango soufflé!

Indoor seats, terrace and restroom at 5to7
It was a really hot day. The kids sat down for a bit to cool off while I looked around the different spaces of 5to7, a Seongsu soufflé hotspot. You can tell care went into every corner, and the interior was very comfortable.

The terrace is so refreshing! 🌿🌳

There's a restroom too, which was nice.

With an interior mixing warm wood and vintage touches, it's a relaxed café whether you come in a group or alone.

Is 5to7 kid-friendly? Watch the steep stairs
The only thing to watch out for at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is that the stairs are steep, I guess...? Going up is fine, but you need to be careful coming down. It's not a no-kids zone, but I felt that staying on the 1st floor with children isn't a bad idea. The 1st floor is where you order and pick up your menu, and there are seats too. I liked the 1st-floor space as well, with its big windows.

How does the fresh mango soufflé taste?
The fresh mango soufflé at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch came covered in plump, fresh mango and soft whipped cream. I love soufflé, but there aren't many places that do it well, so I can't have it often. There used to be a brunch café near us with soufflé as its main dish, but for some reason... it went under... I should have gone more often 🥲 So eating it after so long made it even tastier.

Americano plus the kids' strawberry and matcha cream lattes
I'd had one light americano in the morning, but I got another coffee transfusion here. The subtly sweet fresh mango soufflé and the americano went together really well, haha. One kid had the strawberry cream latte, and the other, who's into matcha these days, had the matcha cream latte, and they finished every drop. Matcha has some caffeine so I was a little worried, but they slept like logs.
It tastes good and looks good too, right? 5to7 is a Seongsu café that makes you keep reaching for your phone to take photos.

5to7, a soufflé café in Seongsu you shouldn't miss

An exhausted elementary schooler after defeating the demons 😁😁
You can feel the plumpness of the fresh mango soufflé, but in your mouth it's a cloud. It's soft, and the portion was bigger than I expected, so the texture was great.

A Seongsu soufflé café worth a return visit
We country mice, the kids and I, went up to Seoul, visited a lovely café, and enjoyed a soufflé I hadn't had in ages. I wonder when we'll get to go again, but if we find ourselves in Seongsu or around Seoulsup, I'd love to visit 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch once more 💛🧡
