My husband's coworkers had been telling me this was a must-visit spot for ages!!!! Between taking care of the baby and just never having the time, I hadn't made it out — but I finally headed to Ilsanjin for some fresh air with my mom, and we ended up eating at Ulsan Daewangam Dol Jjamppong, a well-known restaurant near there in Dong-gu, Ulsan~~~! The portions were clearly huge and the food was tasty, because there were so many customers!!

Scorched-rice stone jjajang + dontang set for three
Since it was just me, my mom, and my husband, we decided to keep it simple with the scorched-rice stone jjajang + dontang set. For dontang, think pork cutlet plus sweet-and-sour pork!! For chitang, think sweet-and-sour chicken. I'd had it before and it was so good~~~♥️♥️♥️♥️
Tada!!!!!!!! Our stone jjajang arrived. The portion was seriously huge, haha. And you know not many jjajangmyeon places serve green onion kimchi, right!? When they go this all out, of course customers keep coming. Inside was packed with all kinds of seafood, including plenty of shrimp and squid, plus quail eggs to eat alongside.
Whoa~~~~~~~~~ look at the amount of noodles, haha. I actually like my jjajangmyeon a little soggy, so I let it soak in the sauce a bit before digging in, haha. I'd been craving stone jjajang for so long, and it was so good~~~~~!!!!
They give you two sauces to dip into, which is great — such thoughtful little details in every dish at Ulsan Daewangam Dol Jjamppong!!! ㅎㅎ You can really feel the care put into each item.
Free rice, plus gangjeong and yogurt as you leave
On top of everything, Ulsan Daewangam Dol Jjamppong gives you a free bowl of rice like this!! Since it was free, we of course had a bowl too — mixed in with the jjajang sauce, it was ridiculously good. My husband must've liked it, because he polished off a whole bowl!!!!!!!!!
At the end, finishing with yogurt and gangjeong as a palate cleanser made for such a satisfying, filling meal, haha. There really was a reason this must-visit restaurant in Ilsanji, Ulsan is so popular and well-loved!!! My husband's friends had raved about it so much that I'd been curious, and after finally going, my husband was bragging about it too~ Friendly service, delicious food, and a clean, comfortable space — plus it's easy to bring a child along, so I'd love to come back and eat here again. What do you think of Ulsan Daewangam Dol Jjamppong!??! This was my honest review of a must-visit restaurant in Ilsanji, Ulsan that I highly recommend~~~~~~~ Highly recommend!!!!!!!>_<
