I was craving beef out of nowhere and went hunting, and that's how I found this gem, Daehwa Sutbul Garden.

Daehwa Sutbul Garden — Like the restrained, quiet harmony of Silla aesthetics, we put that spirit into every piece of meat. We aim for balance in ingredients over heavy seasoning, and completeness of the meal over excess garnish. This is why we're called a Gyeongju-style beef restaurant — because we think about the harmony and sincerity of the whole table. We trim the meat fresh every day, with the mindset of taking responsibility for a meal worth remembering, a spread you'd never be embarrassed to serve anyone.
With private seating and a comfortable hall, convenient parking, and group tables for gatherings, it works for family outings, company dinners, and small get-togethers alike!
Where to park at Daehwa Sutbul Garden

Being able to use the apartment complex's parking lot was so convenient — a restaurant with no parking worries is always the better choice, right~!
Daehwa Sutbul Garden exterior and interior

The restaurant is on the first floor of the building, so it's easy to find!
I love this kind of wood aesthetic, and the sign alone was totally my style~ hehe.

Gyeongju-style seasoned beef short rib on the spot, half seasoned half salted, diced skirt steak, diced flower cut... just looking at it screams delicious!

There's a menu board outside too, so it's easy to decide before you even walk in~
Inside Daehwa Sutbul Garden: the dining room
Just like the very Korean-feeling exterior, the inside has that Korean mood going strong too. The red and blue lighting is so pretty.
I liked that they had disposable aprons, and most tables were partitioned off, which made it feel nice and private.
The window seats are so pretty too :)
Since we'd reserved ahead, our table was already set up neatly like this.
The self-serve bar
Extra side dishes are self-serve. The self-serve bar was clean too, which I really liked, hehe.
Daehwa Sutbul Garden menu: what comes with the set?

Side dishes and seaweed soup

The side dishes were so neatly prepared, I really loved it. I especially enjoyed the pickled peppers and the potato salad.

A seaweed soup included as standard! So touched. The meat was super tender too, which made it even better!!
How does the snow crab jang stew taste?

I really love that crab plus soybean paste stew combo, so I ordered this too. It turned out to have more of a clean charm than I expected, rather than heavy umami. Plenty of crab meat and big chunks of tofu — generous with the fillings, which I loved.
Limited premium kkeutisal, diced flower cut and short rib 🥩
Time to fire up the charcoal~

The kkeutisal came out. It's made from only the last 10% of the highest-grade chuck flap — the part with the best marbling — so of course I had to order it. Being a limited menu item made it even more tempting. And sure enough, it was ridiculously tender, speechless-level. Truly the best. If it's still available when you go, you must try it — highly recommend.

Above the sausage is the diced flower cut, and below is the short rib. The diced flower cut had great texture and was surprisingly tender — genuinely amazing. The short rib also had a nice bit of chew without being tough at all! You could really tell they're serious about their beef here. Every cut we ordered was delicious.

The kkeutisal just melts in your mouth... a cut I'd genuinely crave again.

The short rib and diced flower cut also looked incredible.

They also gave us the handmade sausage, which turned out to be a corn sausage — delicious!
