Why I took Mom to Central Site Hapjeong for drip coffee
Central Site Hapjeong is known as a place that does drip well near Hapjeong Station, so I went with my mom, who loves drip coffee. It had been a while since we'd met up, so we ate in Hapjeong, browsed around a bit, and then headed to a café for coffee!
It wasn't in the plan, but the weather was great and we weren't ready to head home, so we decided on a café. Usually I just walk into whatever café I see, but since I was meeting my mom after a long time, I wanted somewhere a little special, haha. My mom has always really loved drip coffee, you know? I heard Central Site Hapjeong is a good drip place near Hapjeong Station, so that's where we went. I don't know much about hand-drip coffee myself... but I went half excited, half curious.

What is the atmosphere like at Central Site Hapjeong?
Go further inside Central Site Hapjeong and you can watch the barista brewing coffee right in front of you. It's a brewing café with a huge variety of beans. It's really different from the cafés I usually go to. The variety of beans is seriously enormous... I drink coffee often, but I don't know much about it, so it all felt kind of fascinating, haha.

You can even watch the coffee being made like this. Lots of people were taking photos of it, so I took one too. Central Site also has a Yeonnam branch, not just Hapjeong! It's known for brewing drip, so maybe that's why it feels so different from a regular café, haha.

How do you choose from the Central Site menu if you don't know coffee?
The menu at Central Site Hapjeong goes beyond Americano, with beans like specialty and limited editions, so it can be confusing at first. If you ask staff for a recommendation, they explain the options split into acidic and non-acidic. After hearing that, I ordered Ethiopia and my mom ordered Guatemala.
The menu can feel a little complicated the first time... It's not just regular Americano; there are specialty and limited editions too. I wanted to try a special hand-drip coffee, but someone who doesn't know coffee like me has no idea what each one tastes like, haha... So I stopped overthinking and just asked for a recommendation. The staff explained them split into ones with acidity and ones without, and I chose from that.

Sitting at the outdoor tables at Central Site Hapjeong
For dessert we also ordered the Central Site Classic Tiramisu, and since the weather was nice we sat at an outdoor table instead of inside. I didn't want to skip dessert, so I ordered tiramisu too. It was listed as the Central Site Classic Tiramisu, and almost everyone around us seemed to be eating it.
I thought about eating inside, but I saw the tables outside and the weather was just perfect, so we went out. There was a light breeze and the sun was just right, so it was so nice to sit there.

Once we sat down, a staff member brought everything to us.

First of all, it's so pretty... The photos turned out great too. The coffee has a really big piece of ice in it. I liked that it stayed cold all the way to the end!

How did the Ethiopia and Guatemala hand drips taste different?
The Ethiopia hand drip at Central Site Hapjeong had a slight acidity that goes down lightly, leaving a subtle fruity aroma. The Guatemala was heavier and steadier, easy for anyone to drink. I tried the coffee first, and the aromas were definitely different. My mom took a sip and said it was delicious too.

Is the Central Site Classic Tiramisu a must-order?
The Central Site Classic Tiramisu isn't too sweet or heavy and goes well with hand-drip coffee, so I'd say order it whenever you come to Central Site. We ate tiramisu together and it was seriously amazing!! If you come to Central Site, definitely order the tiramisu.

It's a total tiramisu hot spot!! Maybe it's because the coffee is good..? It was definitely better than the tiramisu at other cafés.

Who is Central Site Hapjeong for?
Central Site Hapjeong felt less like a café that's just pretty and more like a place focused on the coffee itself. It was atmospheric and quiet, the kind of space where you end up drinking slowly and unhurriedly! It doesn't feel like a typical café; it's Central Site Hapjeong, where you can taste the real deal in hand-drip brewed coffee. If you love drip coffee, definitely stop by. Oh, and tiramisu lovers too... With the good atmosphere and good coffee, I recommend it as a café near Hapjeong Station!!
