Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch is an American-style pizza place at 104 Wiryegwangjang-ro, 1st floor, known for its 48-hour aged dough. My husband had been singing about wanting pizza for days, so I searched for a good pizza place in Wirye and found this one, which promises proper American flavor.

The weather has been lovely lately and we keep ending up eating out together in the evenings, so I was thrilled to find a pizza place in Wirye and ran right over!

It is open daily 11:00–21:30, with last order at 21:00. If you use the building's underground car park, parking is free for 3 hours.

The shopfront is already shiny and very American, haha. They give a special menu item when you show a pregnancy badge, and a place that's friendly to expectant moms just feels extra warm to me!

Atmosphere and seating at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch

The interior is stylish American style, white with red lettering, and the hall is bigger than I expected, with generous space between tables. The decor caught my eye the moment we walked in. That white background with red lettering looks so good.

I heard they keep a separate cleaning schedule for thorough hygiene, and the inside did feel really clean and comfortable. With the roomy tables, it's also a nice pizza place in Wirye for eating with a child or meeting family and friends.

How do you order at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch?

Every order is made through a QR code, and pizza comes in three sizes: Personal, Regular and Large. Boxes showing all three sizes are placed around the restaurant, which makes the sizes easy to tell apart. I liked that.

The menu is a single sheet, nicely laid out and easy to read. We decided to order personal (single-serving) pizzas so each of us could have the flavor we wanted. We got the signature Super Jackson, a Hawaiian, and tomato cheese spaghetti.

Upside-down plates: a hygiene detail we noticed

What impressed me most here was that the top plate in the stack is set upside down. Most restaurants just leave them face up. It made me think they're serious about hygiene, so I felt even better about eating there!

48-hour aged dough and the ₩3,000 coleslaw

Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch uses only dough aged 48 hours in the fridge, made from the head office's secret recipe, and apparently won't sell it at all if the aging isn't right. Our order finally arrived, and everything came out at the same time. Such stubbornness and care about taste! The dough looked chewy and delicious, too!

The coleslaw was an add-on for ₩3,000. They trim carefully selected vegetables in the shop one by one and make the sauce themselves, aging it 24 hours, so they're really serious about every ingredient. It was clean-tasting and not harsh, and I was glad we ordered it. It cut the richness of the pizza perfectly 👍

How do the personal Super Jackson and Hawaiian pizzas taste?

Super Jackson is the signature pizza, with 10 toppings, and a personal size has 4 slices. Looks really generous, right? It looks like a lot even for one person!

The Hawaiian is built on pineapple and thick bacon, and it was so good too!

Jackson Pizza ranch sauce for dipping the crust

The ranch sauce served as standard is made in the shop: they trim herbs themselves, blend more than 7 ingredients and age it for 24 hours too. They really put heart into even a ranch sauce. It's savory yet fresh, and I don't think I've ever had such a good sauce at a pizza place.

Dipping the end of the crust in it is absolutely heavenly!! So good.

On the table there's grated cheese, seasoning and Tabasco hot sauce, so sprinkle them on to taste. With cheese and Tabasco on top, it was even more delicious!

Jackson Pizza's 24-hour aged tomato sauce

What surprised me when I actually ate the pizza was the tomato sauce spread underneath. It had a deep, rich flavor, clearly different from the artificial, predictable tomato sauce at ordinary pizza places. I learned they blend the ingredients themselves and age the sauce 24 hours before using it, which gives a much fuller, more savory tomato taste. It seems 24-hour aging is the default for everything here! 👍

The tomato oven cheese spaghetti we ordered alongside was loaded with cheese and soaked in rich tomato sauce, and I enjoyed it to the last bite!

Two personal pizzas for two people: is it enough food?

With two personal pizzas plus spaghetti and coleslaw, it was so much food that I felt ready to burst even though they're single-serving pizzas. We still cleaned every plate!

My husband really loves pizza, and he gave a thumbs-up 👍 and said Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch is different from other places, haha.
