Arriving right at the 11:00 Saturday opening, the duruchigi set (two servings of duruchigi, an egg roll and two bowls of rice) with an added ramyeon noodle sari made a generous brunch for two adults, from the thick egg roll to the bubbling pot of pork. I heard there was an amazing kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), duruchigi (spicy stir-fried pork), and pork belly kimchi jjim spot in Bansong-dong, Dongtan. A solid, filling lunch or dinner at a nice price, plus takeout and delivery available — a real Bansong-dong local favorite! On top of that, the soju price is out of this world, so it's apparently also famous as a samgyeopsal team-dinner spot.
Yangpuni Kimchi Jjigae & Samgyeopsal menu and prices
Yangpuni Kimchi Jjigae & Samgyeopsal in Bansong-dong lets you enjoy a hearty meal at prices that feel genuinely cheap given today's costs. It's not just reasonably priced — the food is actually good, which is why it's so beloved by Bansong-dong locals.

Beyond the tasty food menu, you can enjoy a fun team dinner with samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) and a cold glass of soju.

I was shocked seeing the soju price!! 1,900 won, seriously?? This is exactly the kind of place for a laid-back team dinner — grill some samgyeopsal, order a spicy kimchi jjigae, and have a few drinks.
What comes in the Saturday duruchigi set with ramyeon sari
I skipped breakfast so I was starving. Arrived right at the 11am opening at this Bansong-dong, Dongtan favorite, Yangpuni Kimchi Jjigae & Samgyeopsal!
Should I go clean with kimchi jjigae? Duruchigi? Pork belly kimchi jjim? What to eat? After much deliberation, I settled on the duruchigi set! It comes with two servings of duruchigi, an egg roll, and two bowls of rice — plenty for two hungry adults. And I added the ramyeon noodle sari on top!
Is the 7,000-won egg roll worth adding?
The egg roll came out freshly made and warm. As a side dish at 7,000 won, I thought — isn't that a bit pricey? But once I laid eyes on the actual thing... this would be fair even at 10,000 won. A place that charges kindly and gives you a lot! The thick egg roll is a must-order!! You have to try this!!

The ramyeon sari arrives cooked in the duruchigi pan
While I was still eating the egg roll, the ready-to-eat duruchigi arrived! The amount of meat is enormous! The ramyeon noodle sari comes cooked together with it, and the springy noodles are a level above what I make at home!

Duruchigi that comes ready to eat right away! I go after the noodles first before they get soggy. Noodles soaked in that spicy-sweet sauce are something special. The springy ramyeon alone tastes amazing, but pair it with a thick chunk of pork... this is a dish!
Watching it bubble away on the table only ramps up the appetite. You get drunk on the smell, then drunk on the taste as you eat, and you fall for the seriously generous portion.

Delicious on its own, a rice thief when eaten with rice, and eating it wrapped up made me crave a shot of soju... I resent my busy schedule today. T_T

Mixing the rice in a big bowl with gim garu (seaweed flakes)
Now that I've confirmed how good it is, time to really dig in haha. Put a decent amount of rice in a big bowl, pile in plenty of duruchigi, mix it all together, then sprinkle gim garu (seasoned seaweed flakes) on top... and you get something beyond delicious. That's the taste!!

My mouth is watering just looking at the photos again haha. It's not some fancy dish. But it's the kind of thing that's delicious every single day. You never get tired of it — ate it yesterday, eating it today, would eat it again tomorrow? Sure!! A taste any Korean would love without exception!

The portion was enormous... but it was so good we ended up wiping it clean. Haha. If you want a delicious lunch or dinner in Bansong-dong, Dongtan, I recommend digging in here at Yangpuni Kimchi Jjigae & Samgyeopsal. The price is kind! The food quality is great! Soju is cheap! There might be people who haven't been yet, but no one who's only gone once~
